  1. So that's what Alderaan looked like while it blew up... huh... (I just imagine that the green is the Death Star laser) Stunning pic by the way.
  2. The only way to keep the detail from being of center would be to remove material from both sides of the piece (top and bottom). This would be the side you already have connected and the side you have overlapped, but then you would loose the ridge on the front. So I guess the choice is, keep the ridge or keep the detail in its symmetrical position? Good luck.
  3. RS actually has a whole section of their page for the Shadow Trooper. Here you go: http://www.rspropmasters.com/shadow-trooper-all-props/ They also have a shadow trooper kit, but it's in the Stormie section for some reason, but here it is: http://www.rspropmasters.com/product/shadowtrooper-armour-helmet-self-build-kit-options/
  4. It's probably just the angle of the pic, but your right shoulder brigde on the chest piece looks shorter than the other. Also, if you get the back piece in their, you can see if the ab and chest need to come up, the kidney go down, or a bit of both. Although gaps in the back won't matter as much since you aren't going for centurion. But overall, nice work! Can't wait to see it all come together!
  5. Yeah, I would assume that you would need straps and snaps (or velcro) for the rest of your armor since the brackets would only hold the torso. You could also pick up one of these bad boy packs. https://www.imperialboots.com/product/strapkit/
  6. Better to cut too little than too much. Also, I am pretty sure that the shins are normally asymmetrical, but I will leave that to the experts.
  7. I recently bought the Doopydoos e-11 kit and I know that the magazine is very basic. I have done some research and am trying to find a good option. One that I have found is this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2990250. What is the opinion on this and does anybody know of any better choices for a replacement magazine. All help is appreciated.
  8. I concur with all above statements. Nice painting and go with the templates.
  9. Cool! That's looks like it would work. Can't wait to see it finished.
  10. Really great pictures! Was trying to figure out the size and color differences between these sets! (yes I know I am *really* late to this forum)
  11. One of my new favorite threads! Great job, it looks superb!
  12. There is no set amount of return edge required on armor (except the wrists). If you think it looks better with more edge, leave more on. If you think it looks better with less, take more off. It is completely up to you about how you would like it to look. Have fun with it! Good luck!
  13. I was actually researching this fairly recently. Imperial Boots is selling a Velcro kit as well as a movie accurate strapping kit. It is also 1/5 the cost of the Trooper Bay strap kit. Here's the link: https://www.imperialboots.com/product/strapkit/ Hope this helps! Good luck on your build!
