  1. So my first troop is tomorrow. I realized I can barely walk so I got to adjusting. Trimmed the backs at the top of the calf and bottom of the thigh. In addition, I took about an inch off the top of the thigh sections and rounded off the highest part so it’s not digging in to me. Should help multitudes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The best advice I can give you is to look up your local garrison and see if any members live near you and would be willing to assist. Analysis paralysis is not a good thing. Your time frame is doable, but if you rush it the likelihood of mistakes rises. You really need an armor party. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Made it! It's a honor to be here! Proudly serving now with Inferno Squad of Garrison Tyranus (VA).

  5. And it’s officially official now! TK 71776 reporting for duty! I can’t thank everyone who helped me through this 8 month journey! I will pay it forward the best I can! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Just got word from my GML! Approved!!! Just waiting on my official TK number!!! So excited!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I wasn’t sure industrial strength Velcro would work on keeping them shut on my fat calves, but my local garrison said to use it. It works like a charm. Believe in industrial strength Velcro!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. It’s looking good. I would contact your local garrison and ask for advice. They may suggest you hold off until approved. Overall, before you start snipping things you can’t glue back, it’s always good to ask for help from the powers that be. I think you’re looking good right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’d start with removing all of the return edge. The elastic looks right as do the loops. I’d start with the edge, see how it helps and then go from there. Tony can pipe in though... he’s the pro Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Actually, it might help to just take a photo of the bell and post here. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Tony is right. I have no return edge on mine whatsoever. Also, on mine at least, the elastic is very taught. It makes the bells close a little bit which on mine ensures they close as Tony states they should. Are you using Han loops? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Hey there! Good to be back! Definitely missed it and glad to be back into it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Wow... it’s been since November. Life happens. In a Major way. There was an armor party this past weekend and I finally fixed my shins! Added some industrial strength Velcro, trimmed one and bam! I submitted for basic approval, might not get it this go. Discovered my butt Armor was sticking out. The belt wasn’t put over the separation to pin it down. No biggie. Everything else is mostly good. I’ll try again if it’s a no. Some easy fixes. There was a lot going on at the Armor party so we might have rushed a tad. Some things could be straighter. I’ll update when I find out either way. 14. Been lazy and busy. Keep saying I need to fix my shins so I can submit... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I’m 5’11” and too short for Vader. I envy you lol. Tell you what, that’d be a good Rogue One Death Trooper size if they make it that large. They always struck me as larger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Halloween candy hand out was a success. A lot of happy kids and adults. And a lot of lessons learned. I have a newfound respect for all those that troop. After 2.5 hours of standing, I was in pain, lol. Much respect indeed. Granted my armor is still not optimal for movement until I can adjust it after basic approval. Key takeaways... Wow, it’s hard to see. And my left lens was continually fogged. Not fun. My thighs still need work. My rigging system won’t adequately hold them up. Part of the problem is the rear cut in to my butt cheeks. I guess the option is to trim the back top shorter? I put foam behind the knee plate but alas, dropping thighs didn’t help. Not much movement in the arms. Need to figure out how to gain more mobility. Shins and my fat calves still worry me. I plan on using the hook method. This is the last item I need to do. I just don’t know if it will work well. This next armor party I might ask for more expert opinion. My Velcro system throughout the armor held up surprisingly well. Might add some snaps once final fitting is squared away. Overall I can almost taste approval! Last night was a blast. I’m paying for it in my shoulders today though... 17. Added Velcro to my thigh rigging. Hopefully this does the trick. If not, I’ll add snaps... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. One of the last outstanding items is done... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. It’s crazy how it al just comes together in the end... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. That’s a good idea! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Alright... I’m ready for Halloween! I’ll be standing stationary for sure... but it feels so good and amazing when it all comes together!!! After Halloween issues to fix. Need to add Tony’s hooks to the back of my shins. Need to fix the sniper knee plate. Got that issue where it ticks into the thigh. Cod strap is half the length it needs to be. Also need to paint the back leg cover strips Anovos white. I’m sure there’s more but I’m pleased thus far. Good god it’s hard to see out of. Further critique is welcome.
