  1. Yup! Will do guys. Which reminds me, I need to get ahold of the people I ordered my boots from. 10 days for the boots that were in stock and no word yet.... I’ll do what you all suggested when I get them before proceeding. On another note... I know shin labelling was rumored to be wrong. Do these look right at least? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Cutting the return edge made a huge difference. Still not too much room to cut on the front, but it might just fit if I cut just a little. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Absolutely... will do that tomorrow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I’ll do this as well. Need things to do as glue dries Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. That is my next step. I might get rid of it all if need be. What I was referring to was having equal butting to match perfectly to the cover strip. Got it perfect on the forearms, 7.5mm on each side. If the butt is wider than the strip, is that a bad thing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I do have a question about the shins. Following UKwraths guide, and in following with what was done to the other pieces, the butt connection in the front needs trimming before the cover strip goes on. My problem is if I cut the shin return edges off at the top of the pieces, they may just barely fit my big calves. I don’t want to shim if I can avoid it, so I really have no cuts on the front side to spare. If I leave it as is and apply the cover strip, will it affect EIB or Centurion? 7. It’s amazing how the cover strips transform these pieces... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I double checked. It appears there was only film on one side of each of the cover strips... similar to the actual armor... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Progress! Doing it the slow way... but doing it safer for me. Should have them done by mid week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Ahhh! All set to glue and I can’t get the plastic off the cover strips. I can’t even tell if there’s protective plastic on them! Do all of them come with it? How do you get it off??? Never mind. One side only. Was going crazy lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks! Yeah, on the biceps I used a pen and steel ruler to get my cut line. Wound up using lexans though because score and snap wasn’t working and I couldn’t get my scoring straight reliably. Felt safer this way and I got the lines pretty darn straight even with scissors. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Ah... so the way I said is right and just even out the bottom carefully... thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. So it looks like you aligned at the bottom then? Or closer to the bottom? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Right forearm is wonky. After trimming to fit align the top and shape at the wrist, correct? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks. I feel like I’m bombarding everyone with so many questions, but this forum has some of the nicest most helpful people I’ve come across in a forum. Most forums can be harsh. It’s a scary prospect cutting in to expensive plastic Today I am definitely starting the gluing process. I need to trim about a half inch off the biceps and I should be ready to glue on cover strips. From what I’ve seen, it’s no issue is the E6000 looks sloppy or seeps as it is easy to clean up after it dries. Is this correct? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I hope... I think I’m gluing the cover strips on my forearms and biceps today. Luckily Ukswrath and I have the same size arms it appears, as my measurements are coming out similar. For L3, does the lower return edge need to be removed on the biceps? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Uh oh... the master has arrived. I am using your guide... just praying I don’t mess up too badly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Took a quarter inch off while keeping in mind I’ll have under armor on. Does this seem better? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. What does everyone use to sand edges to even them out? Sandpaper? Sanding block? What grit? I was afraid to use score and snap at first, and in the very first cuts my lexan abilities weren't as refined as they are now. And of course I discovered how easy score and snap was. My bell shoulders need some tiding. Thanks!
  20. Sorry.... questions keep coming. Bicep doesn’t align at the bottom. Should I just cut off the return edge and trim to match? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Ok. It looks like I can cut another .25 14mm off too get a more snug fit. Am I going about this the right way?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Also... right forearm... 7.5mm on butt edge. This look right? Cutting on the dots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Should I cut a little more? Is this a little too big? Which side on the back side do I cut from? Left or right or does it matter? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Awesome... thanks! How much space should there be in the arm? I mean, my forearms aren’t small, and they aren’t large either. Should I go with it as is and just insert foam if I feel the need? Rather err on the side of caution. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
