  1. Nice shop, Daniel. Is that a school?
  2. Fiskars makes one that's available in the States, one more thing to add to the shopping list.
  3. That's magic!
  4. Thanks for this, Curro. I just bought a Rubie's for a fun side project and while I'm not getting anywhere near this detailed, your work has already answered several questions for me.
  5. I know what you mean!
  6. I went ahead and bought the Rubie's. It will be four weeks (or more with the holidays) before I see my good blaster and this way at least I have a holster-filler. And something to practice paint techniques on.
  7. My holster is thin enough I can feel which edges are hitting as it moves. Try it and you should get a sense of where to add weathering. Leading edges of the barrel 9-10 & 2-3 o'clock, leading edge of the stock side wings. Sides of the sight wings...
  8. I was thinking glossier on the "rub" sections; where the heel of the hand rubs the grip, where you regularly grab the t-tracks. Each person's blaster would rub (and wear) slightly differently. I was going to handle some beeswax and then handle the blaster, point it various ways, then see where the waxy smudges were.
  9. I was getting 500 errors this morning on my laptop, and a blank forum on Tapatalk... after it doubled my one response.
  10. Panda has a good video on it...
  11. Go for E, as well. The weathering is half the fun! I saw a painted Rubie's recently for a tiny sum and thought I'd get it for knocking around and practicing "safe carry" with. If anyone says anything about the accuracy, I'll tell them it's a cheap Corellian knock-off I confiscated from some rebel scum.
  12. Nice yard... I mean, good work! Constantly inspiring.
  13. I know better than to reply on TapATalk...
  14. I thought it was a Smurftrooper at first... have fun, we’ll be eagerly watching.
  15. Wow. Just wow.
  16. Looking good, Daniel! Thumbs-in-the-belt is always good for an imposing figure. Very "American cop." That reporter had a bit of a stumble; is "walker" generally that difficult to pronounce in Swedish? I'd hate to have to change my name if I come visit...
  17. Hardware store run for PlastiDip (got white and black sprays), tape, sandpaper, and a nice Nicholson half-round bastard file. More magnets, clamps, and snaps and tools ordered. Checklist is getting there. It's funny, I have no problem building a $14,000 bicycle (with internally routed everything and more electronics than Tony's helmets) sight unseen, but this project is making me question my sanity. I know instinctively that it's a matter of space and tools but it is still a strange juxtaposition for me. Guess I'd better get a tarp to throw over the living room when this starts getting real.
  18. Yeah, TK. I thought this was their thread. I think I'll wait, 9 C "true to size" will probably be a bit snug. Thanks, Brien!
  19. They show the medals in reverse order. Just go by the level of fancy...
  20. You've got the names a bit scrambled, I think. Marksman is lowest, then Sharpshooter, then Expert (at least in the US Army). But I like the idea!
  21. Past comments say these run a tad large... can anyone confirm? They have a 9 "C" that might work for me.
  22. Watch the beginning of ANH, they don't miss then. They board Tantive IV and kill everyone that doesn't run in short order. Then those pesky droids make it across the passageway and it's downhill from there...
