I’ve had to put my hearing assist a number of different places cause it never let my head into the helmet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do not have any issues. Good adhesive Velcro sticks well. As for the smell. It doesn’t linger. I did a coat, let it sit upside down on a chair outside for 30-45 minutes and did another coat, and did a few coats that way. Just strong when you first apply it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Biceps trimming and assembly
Frank75139 replied to Tattoodude860's topic in Tutorials, Tips and HOWTOs
Are you trying to trim the return edge or shorten the bicep? I trimmed both retun edges off. I’ve seen it either way. Think it’s a personal fit thing. For me it was comfortable without it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I used the plastic dip. Worked well, smells bad while it’s drying (not after) and needs a few coats. And yes I did mine after the fact because I was unaware of it and it’s much easier to do it before trimming. I do like the Velcro idea. It seems a bit more convenient when installing electronics. Could you take the brow off and cut the helmet under it to allow it to come down a bit? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wow you are ready to go! Start where you want it’s your kit! I used plastidip for my interior some people use Velcro so it’s easier to stick electronics some people use truck bed liner. It’s all personal preference. I started with my arms and worked down doing the helmet last. Some people like doing it first cause it’s just really cool looking. Again start at your pace and you will have tons of people to help along the way. Just breath and don’t go to fast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks, just got told I’m good and would pass basic except for a minor bicep issue. But I’m still looking into the possible purchase of replacement parts. I’m not on Facebook so that would probably make it hard to contact the costuming group. (I know I’m like one of the only people not on there, but I’ve got my reasons and I’m sticking with them.) Contacted AM about replacements and was told it’s rare but not completely unlikely and he said the shins or thighs would be sold in sets (right and left thigh or left and right shin). I’ve got no problem buying both sides cause I’m all for spares! He’s gonna check the stock and get back to me. Just comes down to price. If it’s too costly I might make due with what I have and save to purchase another costume. TK is great and I’m gonna love the ability to be one but after doing all this with the way my body fluctuates I’m thinking I might want a more forgiving back up plan. Uxorious' first build - the road to 501st
Frank75139 replied to Uxorious's topic in ANH Build Threads
I have the belt system and I’ve got issues with it not holding that well. Just assumed it was me because nobody else had any issues. It’s a well made set certainly worth the money and he was very helpful in figuring out what was causing some issues. Just don’t feel they are 100%. I use them in conjunction with a secondary strapping system just in case. Maybe it’s my snap placement, my belly, my thighs... who knows. I do know I’ve had the snaps in 3 different spots and none seemed better then the other. I think the suspenders might help but I’ve already got suspenders on my cod so that might be suspender overload. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Think mine are backwards ugh... thank you though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Found out no other vendor’s colors will match they are all a shade off. But on a bright side I spoke to Mighty Tank at AM and he is checking on some replacement parts. I’d like to redo my shin first and if he has extra I might look into the thighs to see if I can get them a little better. That’s all if the price is right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When you get the shoulders installed can you take a quick shot wearing it so I can compete it to mine. Think mine are backwards but it’s hard for me to tell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure why I though he went under a different screen name. Also next time your near Philly I think we should get a few cases of beer and watch some movies, your quotes bring back some fond memories haven’t seen that in forever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
