  1. I used photoshop to crop and adjust the picture then save it so that it was smaller than the 25Mb limitation. If you don't have photoshop you could try to use the built in windows picture tools. Click on the three dots to the right and click resize image to get it under the limit.

  5. Gmrhodes13 YOU DID IT! Thank you Glen! We will rebuild!
  6. Gmrhodes13 If you can delete that I would be happy. Especially if it fixed the attachment problem at the same time.
  7. That's where I started. Problem is the attached pictures no longer show up and I have nothing to click unless I go to the manage attachments link. I half wonder if I can delete the entire thread and start over? It's my troop log and my history is brief, 2 whole troops so far. Sent from my sorrosuub C1 comm link device using Tapatalk
  8. When I go to my profile is this where you are mentioning to go? I know I'm getting older but I don't see the trash can. The second image is the manage attachments page and I don't see one there either. Sent from my sorrosuub C1 comm link device using Tapatalk

  10. Thanks for that, but how do I UN-bomb my storage?
  11. I was trying to add pictures to my troop log. After I submitted the post I noticed one was upside down. So, I tried again from my computer instead of tapatalk but then they disappeared and I got this warning "You have used all of the attachment space you are allowed. Manage attachments to free up space". When I click the link I can see the pictures I tried to upload but there are no actions available to take. What gives? What should I do to fix this?
  12. I've noticed while roaming the site that on other people's posts their 501'st ID number is listed between their actual name and Garrison name. On mine it does not. Is there somewhere I am supposed to go to fix that?
  13. A couple days ago I received my Basic 501st approval! A great big thanks to all who've helped me out thus far! When I started on this endeavor I felt like I was trying to swim solo across the ocean. Everyone of you has had a positive influence on the process. A few of you seemed to be checking in often to offer loads of great advice. gmrhodes13 you've provided excellent feedback and the most impressive insights in locating things on the forums. ukswrath I followed your Anovos build and greatly appreciate the encouragement. Hopefully by following it I will make an easy transition to higher levels. Had it not been for your build thread I would still be working on this thing. TKSpartan thanks for pointing me directly to the things I needed to adjust and having the ability to highlight great posts with pictures when your words weren't doing it for me! Me like pictures! justjoseph63 the detailed critique was very helpful and timely to assist in getting myself prepped for approval. Now onto the blaster. I've got my resin doopydoo kit in hand, hit up T-Jay for the extra bits to make it better than a rubber duck and started reviewing the enormous wealth of info here. With any luck I'll be able to have a moment or two to work on it despite all the holiday, family, and work hub bub to be able to qualify EIB then Centurion in short order. TK41469 signing off!
  14. Thank you for the review JustJoseph, I really appreciate it. I think I need to give that calf a bath if I'm going to correct the symmetry problem there. Seems no matter what I do it defaults to that position when closed. The belt had popped off it's snap and I really wanted pictures so I just let it be after fighting with it a while. Seems I may have been a millimeter off when I put the snap in the belt and it comes unsnapped easily. Thinking I've seen some folks add a little velcro under there to assist in keeping the belt in place. As for EIB I still need to assemble a blaster that's in a box. Planning an easy build to get a grasp of it then trying a second build to make a more realistic one.
  15. Thanks JustJoseph63 I appreciate your suggestions. The thigh photo I just posted is after I removed the back cover strip and trimmed the thighs down. I am thinking I will probably take off some more of that return edge around the top but they fit much better now. Here is a more recent photo. Please tell me what you think. My new concern is that my butt plate seems wider than my derriere and hangs out a little. Still scratching my head on whether to just eat more to correct that or something else. Pretty sure the Dr. will tell me the latter.
  16. Here's the end result of the backs of the thighs. I think they turned out pretty well. Sent from my sorrosuub C1 comm link device using Tapatalk
  17. I could stick my whole hand in the space between the return edge and my leg so I took the time to thin the thighs a little more. Now I have this abrupt change between the two sides on the back. If I removed all the back side return edge I could just cut along the lower line. If I go a little crazy I leave the upper line and fold over the material to reconstruct the return edge. Just pondering how much that'll bite when I walk before I decide which line to cut at. Sent from my sorrosuub C1 comm link device using Tapatalk
  18. Had a little trouble with my gloves. I have Nomex flight gloves and the flexible handguards. I cleaned them with alcohol and used 60 grit sandpaper on the bottoms then adhered them with e6000. They Didn't last one fitting. Do I need to more aggressively sand the bottoms? Sent from my sorrosuub C1 comm link device using Tapatalk

  20. I thought it was going to be momentous. Putting everything on as a final fitment check before determining the length of the chest to back connection. But now it's just another day scratching my already balding nugget. Aided by my wife I donned my armor. She helped tape up the top chest to back area and figured an inch and a quarter looked good eyeballing the gap between them. I started walking about and was clanking along like the tin man after a good rain. My wife threatened to get me an oil can. Pieces rubbed together smacking with every short stride and could feel the bottoms of the back of the thighs rubbing behind my knee. What I thought was a good fit when checking the thighs alone now seems to be too big. Which means I'm going to have to trim a bit more off the backs. That's going to be ok I guess since I wasn't 100% happy with the rear cover strips. I rotated the thighs out a little more and that helped the alignment in the rear but I noticed ample gap still at the top and bottom. It also seems to me my back is too low and chest too high since I can't hardly look down at all and the neck line of my chest armor is hitting me in the throat. Not sure how to address that at this point either. I'm all ears and open to suggestions. Sent from my sorrosuub C1 comm link device using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks for the suggestion Rob. I managed to find a couple more rivets and got back in action. Belt is done but once I removed my clamps I discovered they are all the slightest bit crooked. Do I need to reattach these button Caps or do I just suppress my OCD? Sent from my sorrosuub C1 comm link device using Tapatalk
  22. The buttons have been installed. And belt is coming along. Just realized I am 2 rivets short to complete the belt drop boxes. Although I seem to recall CAP rivets being mentioned by someone in another thread so it's possible I may be able to finish the belt up. The backs of the thighs are also setting as I type this. I'm getting so close. Sent from my sorrosuub C1 comm link device using Tapatalk
  23. I was about to mount these when I noticed the upper left corner of the larger plate it a touch rounded. Then I noticed none of them are really square. Should I square them up a little more first? Sent from my sorrosuub C1 comm link device using Tapatalk
