  1. Congratulations and good luck to all. I look forward to seeing all the new developments. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Nice, I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  3. This is amazing!!! I remember when this was just an idea. Pete and Billy have been working and researching this for a good while along with a few of us in the UKG and now with you on board Kevin it is fast becoming a reality. Troopers helping troopers indeed. I think a 501st concept trooper is long over-due and I feel privileged to be around at the inception of what will be a dream come true. I'm sure Ralph McQuarrie himself would approve! Keep up the good work guys!
  4. I love it! Great find. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Paul you will have to come down and join us on one of our watching ANH nights, I figure you would really enjoy it. We all spend hours discussing the most minute details, it is great.
  6. I'll have a look at that later. It is possible if the rivets pulled through that the holes were just too big to re-use or that they had been placed wrong to start with. I love that thirty odd years later we are still studying and spotting new things.
  7. I would imagine every stuntman who wore the armour and had to fall backwards would have not worn one. It is interesting watching Hi-Def as you see things you haven't noticed in the past.
  8. So I was watching A new hope again yesterday and noticed that the set for stun trooper doesn't have a TD. It makes sense when you think about it as he has to fall onto his back but I just hadn't noticed it before. Just thought I'd share.
  9. I have to say I really like the Sandy look with the backpack not sure why you are discarding that.
  10. For those that are not sure: The pictures of Luke and Steve- Luke is on the left.
  11. Just trooped my new Eastbay stuff!! Very pleased good product and great value.
  12. Why do you want/need a wireless mic? Personally I use a rom FX (with 12v) and one of these: ---------- Simple
  13. I agree I also think the biceps should sit lower. On a personal level I think the shoulder bells should be closer to the body so I would shorten the elastic, you need to lose the visible popper that is showing on your thigh elastic( picture 6) and I would also look at making the elastic between the chest and the back a little longer so that the chest could sit a little lower, at the moment it looks as though it may ride above the ab plate. From a practical point of view I might be tempted to glue a small piece of ABS behind the thigh join at the bottom on the left thigh (picture 7) as it looks like the sniper plate may catch there and it may just damage it, I'm thinking prevention is better than cure. But all in all - you look pretty cool!!
  14. Looks great Josep. I thiink you have totally captured the look, although on a personal level I think the holster straps are a little too long. Mathias the fact you had to ask proves my point. Josep if you need split rivets let me know and I have some I can send you.
  15. Mathias with respect if you say they look different then why do you need to see the inside? If they are different surely you would be able to see without looking at the inside? So following your theory should screws be visible from the outside too? Afterall you can actually see them. Gary good luck with yur application my friend, as I said your suit looks great.
  16. Sorry for the hijack but what is the point of insisting on split rivets unless they are practical? I personally think you have achieved a great build and deserve praise. However you have also illustrated the futillity of some of these new standards. Seriously what is the point of having rules about the inside of the armour? You either go all the way or not at all surely. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Phil that is a great build mate. The work and research you have put into this with the obstacles placed in front of you, you really do deserve the honour mate!!
  18. The pictures do not do this suit justice! It looks even better in the flesh! Paul's work and attention to detail is phenomenal and the suit is testament to that. The helmet is absolutely a work of art. The original snaps and strapping and as has been said soon to have the original boots too. I am constantly amazed at the Paul for his dedication and ability to keep raising the bar. Steve you really bring that to life mate the head tilt looks just fine! Oh and I got to try it on too and it feels as good as it looks!
  19. Vern do you have trim on the bottom of your helmet! I can't see what you could tear it on otherwise. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  20. There is none so blind as those that will not see. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Vern how does your helmet tear neckseals? Karin be aware of the toxicity of other materials, I understand urethane and some silicones can give off poisionous odours whilst curing. I am really looking forward to getting one of these when they are done. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
