  1. Hi Dave, I had to add shims to my RS kit as I’m 86kg and the kit really suits someone with a smaller frame. Have a look at my EIB application (second EIB page in Mworm1974) you can see how I did them there, but like Daniel says it almost looks like you don’t need them, however if you do like Dan said they have to be seamless for Centurion. Basic should be all good. matt
  2. Hi Jim, PM sent, payment made via PP. matt
  3. Hi Rui, not sure if you are aware that some of your photos are sideways. See if you can sort them out as it will help others to view them. Matt
  4. If you are going to move the bells like I had to on my RS suit it was easier to unpick the RS stitching on the shoulder part of the snap and move it forward and more towards the neck. This brought my bells up close and they sat better. other good looking kit.
  5. The frown looks awesome with the extra paint good!
  6. Top job Paul, if the boss can do it hopefully it inspires other troopers to go the extra yard, matt
  7. Hi all, Awesome news, not only did I achieve centurion status but I found out that I am the first in the garrison along with Mr V. Our Centurion numbers are 379 and 380. It does give you a sense of pride in your kit that you have done a good job. Now onto the next one, FOTK.
  8. Awesome Paul, Centurion all the way! I guess you report to yourself, how’s that going to work Lord Vader. Matt

  10. Hi Andrew and Tony, First let me say, thank you for your time assessing my kit and for the hours you spend on all the kits, without you guys this wouldn’t be possible. I also want to thank the SCG GML team Tim, Darren and Drew, the Command staff and members of the SCG and the FISD for their support during my build and continued encouragement after my kit was finished. Tom from TDK props was also a big help with my E11 that was awesome to build. Thank you for the fantastic news, I can’t believe that 12 months ago all I wanted to do was just build a good looking kit to troop in. time to make the empire proud! Matt TK11874
  11. Just looking at the approved applications and your kit looks awesome. matt
  12. thanks Tony there is no rush. matt
  13. Hi all, I started this post last week but getting ready for my first and second troop last weekend I forgot about my post. if I knew how easy it was to build the ANH TK I would have started it sooner, but watching YouTube builds and looking up build threads on the FISD made the whole build much easier. The other great resource that I used was to look at the other RS approved centurion applications, this helped to get an idea of what is a common problem and how to build an accurate set of armour with photo references. I did learn the hard way during my build to avoid bar heaters, I melted a shin when taking a photo mainly because I was standing too close to the heater. I would like to thank everyone that commented during my build, pre approval and EIB applications but I would like to say a special thanks to my family especially my wife for giving up the dinner table for me to build my kit on. matt TK11874

  16. That’s “Awesome”, thanks for your time Tony and Andrew in assessing my kit and my only regret is that I didn’t get involved with the 501st sooner. I actually updated the details at the top and didn’t see the EIB approval at first. The whole journey so far from build to pre approval, garrison approval to EIB has been exciting and a huge learning curve where I have learnt new skills and found a group of awesome people with the same interest. I would like like to thank everyone that’s provided build advice and support along the way as I couldn’t have done it without their help. ”800” what an awesome trooper number to have I actually can’t believe I made it to EIB considering 12 months ago I was thinking what have I got myself into. Thanks again and see you all on the dark side Matt
  17. Hi Tony and Andrew, i have added my 501st profile link twice as it came up with a different number in the URL. Please let let me know if it doesn’t work or if it’s ok. Thanks for your time Matt
  18. Hi Ian, thanks for that, no one can tell you how much time and effort goes into these kits until you do it for yourself. To be 100% honest the whole kit is far more comfortable with the belt down low, all I did for the EIB application was tighten the belt up which raised it so it looks like all of the approved EIB applications of past. If I wear the belt up higher and if I tighten it up it pushes the return edge of the top of the butt plate and bottom of the kidney plate into my spine. Matt
