1. Looks good Stephen, a bit more tweaking and it will look awesome matt
 2. The thermal detonator caught my attention the other day so I thought I would put it together appeared easy to do. http://20171014-190242-1 by -matthewwormleaton- http://20171014-190246-2 by -matthewwormleaton- http://20171014-190252-3 by -matthewwormleaton-
 3. Right thigh with ammo pack just held in place by magnets http://20171001-180106-2 by -matthewwormleaton- http://20171001-180126-3 by -matthewwormleaton-
 4. Your not wrong there Stephen, I do the same thing, a big thank you to Frank and Christine’s build threads, one thing I did want to ask did you end up finding out about the tube rivets. I thought it was something like 3 for the ammo belt, 2 for the thigh ammo pack and 2 for the holster. I think that there are 2 spare bifurcated rivets in my pack somewhere too. Matt
 5. Check out this build thread it might help with the bracket issue ukswrath's ANOVOS TK build matt
 6. Hi all, i have completed my shins and I decided to go with the bra hook closure. Left shin. / / / The rear cover strip looks off centre but when it’s on my leg it aligns vertically and before setting the sniper knee in place with e6000 I adjusted it to align with the shin front edge.
 7. Hi Stephen, those shins look awesome, all the hard work pays off. matt
 8. Hi Stephen, Looks like you are moving along well, I am up to the thighs now after completing the shins. The sniper knee was a problem but I was lucky that I am using E6000 so it pulled off easy. Before gluing it this time I held it place with magnets and clamps before heating it with a heat gun. This allowed me to reshape the bottom of the knee to close the gap up a little bit giving the glue more area to hold, but I did cut another piece of ABS strip to place under the knee plate and glued on top of the cover strip. This also pushes the top of the knee plate out so that it does get caught under the thigh or rub on your knee when walking. The down side when I was trying on the left shin I got too close to the bar heater and slightly damaged the rear of the shin oops, point to note stay away from all heat sources! More exciting news I managed to get a 3D printed E11 which I am currently building, it is very easy to build but the bolts were hard to come by. speak soon matt
 9. Hi Jeff, just remember the original TK suits weren't perfect so some imperfections are acceptable but if you are anything like me those little imperfections drive me insane. However it's made me realise that I need to relax more and enjoy the ride to the dark side. Plus as everyone will tell you measure twice and trim once. You can take more off but it's really difficult to add it back. You will find tonnes of help on the FISD so if you're not sure post a question with photos first. best of luck matt
 10. Hi Shaun, that's good news and like Stephen said you won't be disappointed, best place to start is to start looking at the completed build threads but keep in contact with current builders like Stephen as we can all help each other out. I have found that looking at the EIB and centurion applications very helpful. If you need e6000 for your build I found a supplier in QLD that I can give you if needed. Keep in touch and I will help if I can as I'm a beginner too. When you get your kit start by laying it all out and make sure everything is there but don't get overwhelmed by how much there is to do. One thing I do advise you to do is measure twice and cut little by little as you can't replace the material once cut. On a side note if you plan on doing inner cover strips there isn't enough ABS supplied with the kit so if it's not too late maybe get onto Andrea and see if you can get twice the amount of spare ABS shipped with the kit I picked this up from Frank who just finished his ANH kit for EIB.

Matt
 11. Hi all,I have managed to get all of the inner strips to stick after reading more posts on glueing and what I failed to do was wash down the armour and lightly sand the top iececs before applying the e6000. After I did that they all went together without a problem, so I'm going to complete the outer strips today.
 12. Hi everyone work is slow but progress is being made, I have just glued the inner and outer cover strip on one side of the left forearm. The right forearm I had to pull apart as the inner join looked like the apex of a roof which made the outside cover strip impossible to attach so I have used the boiling water technique to mould it a bit. Here is the left forearm.

When I have reset the right forearm I will post a photo.
 13. Hi Stephen,How did you find the inner join of the right forearm, was it difficult to join? my right forearm inner join is like the apex of a roof. I'm going to try and heat it up to bend it a little to try and get a straight edge. With regards to the shins I am almost there too, from what I have read so far it says to make the outer bottom edge longer than the inside. The top return edge I thought that 5 to 10mm was the recommended size but mobility and comfort came first. If you find out before me can you post what you find out. Matt
 14. Hi Johan, Thanks for that and good luck with your build, I don't know if you have started the right forearm yet, I am finding it difficult to join the inside edge. Are you going ANH or ESB. Matt
 15. Hi Shaun, Yep, that's me, I wanted that name on this one too but it would accept it when I was signing up. Matt
 16. Hi Frank,

That's good news, I hope that I can get there soon too.

Matthew
 17. Hi Mark,

This ones with my sons Ipad but I have a Lenovo tablet too.

Matt
 18. Hey John,

Welcome to the FISD, when everything arrives it will be overwhelming but everyone has been through the same thing. I'm still suffering after receiving the Brown boxes back in March but one step at a time measure twice cut once.

Matt
 19. Hi everyone,
I have been working on the arms and I think I'm making good progress on them.
What I'm going to do next is glue the inside cover strips before glueing the outside ones

I still have to smooth off some edges especially around the wrists and the return edges but I think they are ok?
Once I have done this I will post a photo with them in place on my arms.
Matt
 20. Hi Stephen,

I just purchased a sealing iron from a hobby shop that is used to tighten the skin on RC aircraft bodies. I tried the heat gun and it was too hard to control without having a variable temperature setting.

Matt
 21. Hi everyone, here are some photos of the RS armour

22. Dumb question how do you get rid of the br in the posts?
