  1. It`s just less risk of damaging the parts, if you feel the heat gun works for you then keep using that
  2. Your gut serves you well You also want the cover strips to line up meaning they run a straight line from bicep to forearm and thighs to shins and centered on the limb. Some kits have more material on one half of the part so always check before just cutting, golden rule is measure twice cut once - good luck on your build
  3. Hey Great to hear you`re aiming for Centurion - let`s get you there shall we First: for Centurion idealy there is no gap between kidney/ab (for EIB 12.5mm) meaning you will need bigger shims. Also for Centurion there`s only one seam so sanding and polishing is a must but easy enough to do By looking at the pics I´m with Luc that you should raise the ab plate and that will help with alignment. Looking at this picture (ignore the blue lines for now) it seems as the ends of the back plate gets stuck on your body thus preventing the back to interact properly when you lift the kidney, causing the bunching you mention. I recommend a hot water bath to bend them slightly outwards. Suggestion: after bending the back, start over with the strapping and I say first tape all the back pieces together using gaffa tape from the inside, put the tape close to the edges and two (or maybe just one) in the middle , as indicated by those crappy blue lines and with basicly no gap between the parts. Then see how it looks and feels when lifting the ab/cod to alligne with the top of the kidney as you can see below on Han (again - ignore that red line, not relevant here) Good luck and keep us posted
  4. Awesome - be sure to post some pics
  5. Hey The light scuffing is for the higher levels so not needed for basic and the belt is not to have a holster or drop boxes and you need a pauldron, other than that you are correct
  6. Thanks and well….a ROTJ would be nice to add but so would Boba Fett and Greg...could you take those 4 last pics and put me in some nicer surroundings? pleeeeaaase Thanks Luc, really loving this Trooper variant
  7. Hey For 501st approval overlap construction is only allowed if the armor has the cover strip molded in and I can´t see that yours have, which armor is it? Boots look great
  8. Hey Robert and I say lean away! We are here for you - Troopers helping Troopers

  14. Submission has been sent! Some minor dressing issues but overall I´m happy with how it turned out
  15. If you sew them on you will need an extra undersuit to go with the rubber gaskets required for Centurion (if shooting for that). I sewed my geeky pinks fabric gaskets to the undersuit and happy with that - kitting up is much easier this way, for me anyways
  16. Congratulations and welcome to the Legion Trooper
  17. Getting close
  18. Thighs are painted so time for strapping, holster hardware is yet to come. And some assorted pics
  19. Time to install the holster, the 2 "lonely" screws are for the blaster. Per usuall I eye-balled were to Place the greeble and holster mount. Felt it was to thick so sanded the mount and the resin wedge down a bit, just preference Before Ready to put together and also installed the blaster-screws Ready for paint. Yepp it works
  20. Did some more trimming and sanding and I´m happy for now, going to see how it looks with the cod before doing more. bottom before After: not perfect but better, the angle of the pic is also different but it looks more like the Movie/CRL than before. CRL Top before After: dependig on were the cod end up I might tweek the inner swoop some more.

  22. Been fidling with the shape of the thighs by looking at TFA scenes.....not quite there yet as I didn’t think it would be a good Idea to dremmel in the flat, using the tin snip was kind of pushing it but it’s a start
