I would go for it and if you don’t fel like repainting the tube stripes there’s always an option to use decals, trooperbay has those to and I would recommend the Dave M style
-
Then I would go for it

It is In my opinion yes! RS is molded from an original helmet. SDS seem to be produced from damaged molds, my own thinking and not a fact. Word of warning though, buying from eBay has it’s risk so I would ask for some more photos, just to be on the safe side that the seller in fact have the helmet in possession.
-
Yes it is in fact an RS helmet, the little lump on the forehead tells me that (your fourth pic). the tube stripes and ears are ”easy fixes”. I would compare price from the ”rspropmasters” webbsite just to see if there’s a difference. Anyway, short answer - yes it is

Welcome to FISD officially then

Speaking of transport, just had to share my Boba-case I just finished Everything but the helmet fits, just like a TK or TD for that matter.

Hi again Derek and thank you for your Second EIB application. In this review I will ensure that your armor follows the requirements set out in the CRL L2 Expert Infantry Badge and also point out what I can to prepare you for Centurion, should you choose to apply. I hope you do! Let´s get started shall we! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted and I am very pleased to announce your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for HWT Expert Infantry. On behalf of myself and the entire D.O.Team, Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions As we navigate through this review we are going to start from the top and work our way down. We only have one thing to mention here and, if possible, that is to curve the posterior plate so it goes under your body more not showing the snaps. That´s it! Again congratulations and your second EIB Award! and very well done Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. More photos may be requested in the future that allow us to make better decisions on possible adjustment etc. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Below you will find areas that will need to be adressed for a future succesfull Centurion Application. We only have one thing to mention here as well and as seen the shoulder pocuh should be lower and more straight. Joseph @justjoseph63 is our HWT expert so he will add a suggestion on how you can mount it more properly after this review. We expect your centurion application momentarily

Hey Christian Mark from AP (authenticprops) sells armor with extra girth, you can find his sales thread here

In regards to paint, I used RAL 9010 and a gloss clear to paint my KB kit and I feel that was a pretty good match against my Anovos helmet.

Looks good to me, you could however trim the plates themselves a bit to match the screen used ones

TK-29413 Requesting ESB Centurion Status [AFP] (449)

Hi again Angel and thank you for your Centurion application - let´s get to it! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements All required photos are now in and, after review, we are pleased to welcome you to Centurion! On behalf of the DO team and myself, many congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly In this area we discuss areas that could benefit from additional improvement. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. You have done great work on your armor and we only have a few suggestions that we feel would really make you shine. We just want to mention to keep tweeking those shoulders for that sleek Trooper-look, could also be the way you´re holding your arms compared to the Troopers below. Next up we have the ab buttons and you could actually add some paint. Moving on to the belt we suggest altering it or changing it for a more accurate one, if that´s your preference of course. The belts used in the movie were not folded over at the edges. Looking at the left dropbox we suggest shortening the elastic to move it up against the ammobelt. We finish off with a simple dressing issue - keeping the thighs at an equal hight. That´s it! Again congratulations and great job during your EIB and Centurion application - you´ve earned it -

Take some pics showing the left/right side and the front amd make sure they are taken straight and not at an angle and also not so close up as the ones you already posted and I can have a look, from what I can see it looks like there are some glue to clean up -
Hi Derek great to see you going for a second EIB award We need you to do some work before that can happen though, as per CRL the armor is lightly scuffed (battle worn) but not weathered like a Sandtrooper. Your is currently to heavily weathered and we need you to tone it down. Look at the CRL model and the recently approved HWT applications to see what to aim for. Newspapers soaked in water and then rubbed over the armor can have a nice effect. I also like to have a close up of the ab button paint so I can take a better look. The armor itself is looking good so it should be smooth sailing ones you "cleaned up"

Hey Fredrik, nice to see you back at it Measurements don´t need to be exact, for L2/L3 the posterior plate needs to have 2 male snaps present. Put them roughly in the proxemity of ref pic provided and your golden

Hi Angel During this review I found a couple of things that will need to be amended before we can issue that Centurion award. With that said I also like to mention the great work you did on making the side seams seamless and the way you fixed the teeth which look really great now Issue #1 Han snap Like mentioned in your EIB review the Han snap is too far from the correct location for it to pass Centurion. You have two ways of sorting this. Option 1 is to simply move the snap as indicated. Option 2 is if you like even higher screen accuracy, as seen the original armor did not have that lip/return and by trimming at the blue line and moving the snap it would be spot on. Issue #2 Drop boxes As per L3 CRL the drop boxes alligne with the ends of the ammobelt. Issue #3 Rear cover strips Your cover strips are not of equal size, although they don´t need to match by the mm yours are to far off to pass this higest level. A little more work and we can welcome you to the rank of Centurion
