  1. How mainstream of you!! Looking forward to it. -Chris
  2. Where is Dan when you need him?
  3. Yup. Shorten the elastic up just a bit and you'll be fine. There should be no visible gap, ideally.
  4. Compliments from another master?? Wow...I must have done ok! Thanks, Rolf!
  5. I consider that the ultimate compliment, Paul. Thank you! Now if I could just take some pictures that do it justice. I think I need to find a photographer here in CT or nearby to help me out. Bad enough I sold off my Fett without taking any good studio quality shots! This needs to be documented!
  6. New latex hero molds forthcoming???? SWEET!!
  7. It's been a bit of a challenge getting it together with a newborn (my son will hit four months old on Monday), so I didn't bother with a build thread. Frankly, I was sneaking 15 minutes here and 10 minutes there, so the thought of grabbing the camera every time I was trimming or gluing was a bit much. But I finally completed the suit last week and started taking what I hoped would be my EIB photos. But doing them alone on a timer doesn't always work out so well, so I'm going to redo the shots from the front at the very least. In the meantime, here's a preview of both the stunt and hero looks. Gotta say, Paul's armor is unbeatable! Hero setup with TM hero bucket: Stunt setup with TE2: The happy owner: More to come!
  8. Thanks guys! Since she's a garrison mate, I've been trying to help Jessie with a decision, as well. You're pretty much echoing me. I'm very excited she's looking to join our ranks, so the more help we can give her, the better!
  9. Happy birthday, Mark!!
  10. Holy crap! Totally envious. Enjoy!
  11. AWWW, MAN!!!! After just finishing the strapping on my TM suit with the old strap and snap system, you post this?? You are a cruel b1tch, Paul. A cruel one...
  12. Nice scout, Bro! Off topic: you were the one who bought the Femmando I made for my wife, right? You never told me how your girl liked it or posted any pics! Is she in Mercs now? Hope all is well! Chris
  13. You must be talking ANH. Pretty sure Mark would have gone with the plates attached to silk gloves for ESB.
  14. Hear, hear! Happy birthday, Paul!
  15. Looks good to me! Quick question, though: why would you paint an AP bucket? Is it to match already painted armor? Or are you going for the chipped beige HDPE look? Otherwise, I'd leave it as is!
  16. A work of art! And I agree with Mark - -let's see the inside! And I'd kill to get a close up on the cod butt connection from inside and out and see what those anorak snaps you are using look like on the inside and out. I've got some Prym's that I may use, but not sure they are the exact size or right look. Are those vintage?
  17. OOOOOh....screws on the chest bottom, anorak snaps, and everything. Awesome!
  18. Great start, Mark! Would expect no less.
  19. Do tell! Secretive little bugger.
  20. Guess I'll just copy and paste from the other thread looking for boots. Incidentally, I'd much rather go this way than CABoots!! If you want to get something before TKBoots are back in stock that is comfortable, very accurate, but a little more upkeep, go the painted jodhpur route. Get these in black: --------- You'll want to use masking tape to tape off the soles before spraying. Will take about three coats and you may want to consider using white shoe polish on the elastic. But they'll look great in the end and be very comfortable. Keep the extra spray on hand to touch up after a few troops, since they will scuff. I have both these and the TK Boots and I tend to alternate which I wear. Love my jodhpurs, though! You may decide to make these your only boots and just stock up on spray!
  21. Firstly, sorry you had that crappy experience. I've sold a lot of stuff, too, and been lucky so far. That someone did that to you is childish. And while you may not want to air dirty laundry, you may want to contact them and ask them to drop the dispute or you have the right to inform the community. After all, we need to be protected from bad buyers as much as irresponsible sellers. In that case, it's not really dirty laundry at all -- but civic duty. =) On another note -- would you mind sending me a message? I have a special request and can't seem to PM you. Thanks! Chris
  22. Happy birthday, Pablo!
  23. Yeah...an AM/FX might actually be a bit big without a lot of tweaking. You would probably look much better in a more movie-accurate version and there are many cost effective kits to be found now a days that are similar in cost to the AM. Do a few searches and look for stickied topics in the appropriate forums on this site or you can PM for more info. Good luck and welcome aboard! Chris
