  1. LOL. I thought I recognized those pictures. Good call Darren! But I don't think that auction will be taken down. He's not lying about what you get, you just need to be on your game to build it.
  2. Google "pepakura projects" and that will explain it even further.
  3. You're going to get different responses. Some people use rustolium but I use krylon. Some people use CA glue, others use epoxy. I suggest reading the build threads and going from there. Good luck and have fun.
  4. I've seen lots of PVC pipe mannequins posted up, but I haven't seen this yet and thought I'd share it. Just came up with this idea when I saw a new type of 1-1/4 end cap at Home Depot. The poses are endless. I'll post more pics when it's done, but you get the idea from the pics. [/uR I cut 1/2 inch lengths of 1-1/4" to use as rotater cuffs for the joints. Lot more solid with the cuffs.
  5. I do't think he liked our answer. Looks like he took his toy and left.
  6. Yes, only you have to feed it through and then put the screws through. I suggest E600 to glue your straps together. You don't really have to because the belt boxes hold it together.
  7. Some members asked if I would post a tutorial for my belt kit. Here it is:
  8. I tried them. The threads strip easily. EverBuilt is more durable, but you pay twice as much. Anything beats a buck a piece though.
  9. I found a good source for 3/8" self locking post screws. Just the right length for attaching your boxes to your belt. You can sometimes find them at Home Depot for $1.29 but they never have more than three bags at a time. So I found the manufacturer and bought in bulk.
  10. Did I say Thaiwan?? Silly me. I often get my third world sweatshops confused. I meant Thailand.
  11. Your resource list is great help, Camp. Maybe some members consider it the "vetted list". Might be a good idea to edit it, else people will get the wrong idea. Sellers should at no time be vetted by the detachment staff. Sellers need to be vetted by the membership as a whole. Because just like Tony has mentioned, vetted long time sellers with a perfect track record can go AWOL at any time. And if the staff can't get involved when things go south, they shouldn't get involved when things are going north either.
  12. I sent my pattern and gasket material to Taiwan to get a quote on production. I think our pattern and material was copied. There were also inquiries from Taiwan, as to my volume. So in my opinion, the gaskets are in question too.
  13. He's been called out by more than the FISD. Read the comments; j Dawg1 month ago Oh you're the RE CASTER I saw on BST you're blacklisted for copying peoples work tsk tsk! Looser!
  14. If people get ripped off, the kit being a possible recast would be a moot point. I don't know how FNarmor got on the resource guide, being a fresh new member and fresh new seller.
  15. Has anyone been able to compare the two kits yet?
  16. Use an oxygen barrier. Canned air works, if you can"t get the barrier. Crack the lid, stick the spray tube in, spray your air for a couple seconds and cap it quick. I use canned air for my polyurethane, which has a short shelf life. Canned air is a lot cheaper than an oxygen barrier too. Good luck.
  17. You're right, I couldn't tell you the difference in lightsabers. The only difference is that I would not visit a lightsaber forum and call them fanatics.
  18. Your choice of vernacular troubles me.
  19. It's funny how some people say "The fans don't know the difference". Wait a minute... aren't we fans??
  20. Ever ask yourself why you're even here?
  21. Don't tell us that you'll be sporting one of these at the next Celebration. But hey, it's licensed! You can even have that put on your trading card.
  22. go with your gut.
  23. I'm going to buy one and recast it.
  24. I used snaps for this on pauls armor, but in hindsight, I would go with magnets.
  25. I'll see that you get an answer to your email soon.
