Hello First Order enthusiasts! I had a quick question about the TK designation for First Order Troopers. In the film, The Force Awakens, the traitor FN-2187, given two letters at the beginning of his trooper ID number. Apparently, there were a number of other troopers in Captain Phasma's FN Training Corp that were also given the "FN" designation. In the newly released book "Phasma" the FO troopers also have letters at the beginning of the trooper ID number. Does the 501st plan to adopt this policy for First Order Troopers so that all of the First Order troopers don't start off with "TK" or does the 501st plan just to stick with the "TK" designation for the White Armor Stormtroopers? I'm fine either way, but I figured I would ask.

I can see how it can bother someone when they are suited up. Just remember, it's all in fun and don't get too flustered. I think tapatalk is so popular because its easier for some to post pictures from their phones. There are more people with smart phones than with laptops and desktop computers. I think that is another reason the mobile app is so popular. PC's have been declining since 2011. A survey in 2015 concluded that 80% of online adults use a smartphone. Google also stated that in at least 10 countries, mobile use of their site was larger than desktop usage. I am fortunate enough to have a laptop and a smartphone. Personally, I think its easier to post a thread using a computer. Posting pictures however, especially for people who aren't tech savvy, is much easier through tapatalk. By the way, if I haven't said this in another thread somewhere, a big thank you to Web Team for the site. I find it very easy to navigate and post on.

Hello Bromeo. The cheapest way to build decent armor that looks good is to go the craft foam route. If you are not worried about screen accuracy, you can build some good looking armor for a reasonable price. A lot of people make Iron Man Armor, Halo Armor, World of Warcraft Armor, ect...out of craft foam and it looks fantastic. I will link you to a few guys on YouTube that can help you out. Nice view of the weapon and the black tip of the TD. the Shoulders, front yoke and end of the TD look Satin Black to me. I think Kyrlon Cover Maxx Black Satin is a pretty close match to the color shown here.

Hello Chief! I personally benefited from it. However, due to the Photobucket disaster of 2017, 95% of the images are no longer available to view. We had a trooper last night try to view the thread only to find that he couldn't see any of the images (His comments are on the bottom of page 3 on the thread). I think if we unpinned the thread it may cut down on more confusion in the future. I made a tutorial similar to TK4205's with a video link and fresh pictures so that new troopers could benefit from his info as i did. If you feel that it could be beneficial, that one could be pinned. I'm not campaigning for my thread to be pinned, just letting you know its available to replace the old one if you would deem that to be necessary. Hey fellow Trooper! The reason the pictures are not view-able anymore is because the site they were stored on before they were posted here started charging people to use their site. Update 7/24 Ab to Posterior and Thermal Detonator So for the ab to posterior I went with 2" webbing and magnets. I cut 2 8" strips of webbing. I used painters tape to show the 2" of 8" piece of webbing that didn't need to be glued down to the armor. I grabbed some magnets, & positioned in the appropriate place and glued it all down with E6000 glue. I let it cure on the armor for 24 hours. Next I lined up the posterior with the with back of the ab marked off the place for the magnets, and glued them down as well. Next came the Thermal Detonator. I followed Ukswrath's method of securing the Thermal Detonator to the posterior. A small slit was cut using a dremel and 2" Velcro was placed on the TD and the posterior. Works very nice. Next, I attached magnets to the posterior itself. I used E6000 glue and let it cure for 24 hours Attached to armor:

Title says it all. I purchased these gaskets a while back. Since my purchase I have seen, what I feel to be, much better quality gaskets being sold by members here on the whitearmor. I just wanted to make sure these gaskets are still approve-able. Pics-

7/19 - Update - Ab to Cod Piece and Belt to Abdomen I have made some progress on attaching pieces to my armor: I followed Ukswrath's Ab to Cod tutorial found here. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31877-ukswraths-fotk-build-thread-tk-10116/?page=13#comment-443442 I have also started working on my torso suspension system. Again, following the concept of Ukswrath's build. No wonder his thread has 80,000 views The white material is Styrene and the red material is Silly Winks foam from Hobby Lobby. I had it left over from an old project so I decided to use it up. I glued them together using E6000 glue.

Hello fellow Troopers. The original post of How to use Magnets in your costume was affected by the recent stunt that Photobucket pulled and now the pictures and video are unavailable to use. TK4205 from Garrison Titan did a great job showing everyone how to get suited up with less hassle. It has helped me a great deal with my build and I figured that I would post another HOWTO with a video and pictures so that TK4205's method might help some one in the future as it did me. I used this method on the Abdomen and Posterior part of my armor but the concept can be applied to pretty much the whole suit if desired. Abdomen: Here is a video link to how the method works: [/url] I was able to get the Abdomen Section of my armor on in about 12 seconds without any help. My Plug and Sockets aren't as clean as TK4205's build, but if you are new to this hobby like me, hopefully you can get jest of how its done from the pictures below. Step 1: I ordered some Styrene Sheet from Amazon. In hindsight I wish I would have ordered Styrene that was a bit thicker but I used what I bought. Link below https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ICMZ7PQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Magnets: TK4205 suggested going Super Magnets at Home Depot so that is what I went with. If you don't have a Home Depot Neodymium Rare Earth Magnets should work as well. https://www.amazon.com/Super-Magnet-Neodymium-Permanent-Magnets/dp/B01LWPHF2E/ref=sr_1_1?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1500301280&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=neodymium+magnets&psc=1 I took one sheet of Styrene and cut some squares. I had to cut 4 squares and glued them together since my styrene sheet was so thin (hence the reason I wish I would have went with a thicker size). Then, I cut out a space the magnet to fit inside. After I knew the bottom magnet fit properly, I removed it in order to glue it to the armor. After that, I glued a magnet to the top side of the Styrene Sheet. Next, I marked the spots where I wanted to place the magnets on the back of the Abdomen. I put a dab of glue (E6000) on the Magnet and grabbed some tape I had laying around and tapped the magnet to the appropriate spot: I also used Magnets on the outside of the armor that I later removed to further secure the glue and magnets to the armor while the glue was curing. I let it cure for 24 hours: Step 2: Now that I had magnets attached to the armor, I place the styrene squares I had cut out on the back armor and traced where they would need to line up in order for the armor to close properly. Next I prepped the squares with tape, placed glue on the armor, placed squares on glue. I wanted to make sure the styrene sheets really got a good bond so I got some wood and weights to press it down further. Let cure for 24 hours: Done Put on armor and feel accomplished Attaching Posterior Get Webbing, Glue, Magnets. Glue the magnets to an 8" long piece of webbing. Let glue fully cure to webbing and magnet. Take the Posterior plate and measure the spots you want to place the magnets and mark them. Apply glue to magnets and posterior. Let Cure Attach webbing magnets to posterior magnets and lay on to the inside of your armor and tape the webbing down to the inside of your armor and test fit to make sure that the posterior hangs to just below the bottom of the back of the armor. Once you get it where you want it, trace around where the webbing needs to go and glue it down
