Looks great so far!!!..as far as what I would change: add elastic strapping between the back and ab plates , and to hold the shoulder bells down..use snaps ..I used velcro on both those areas and they both gave me problems while trooping..I'd also close the ab/back gap..I used a cut up trash can...then get a set of Stevens ab buttons and call it done!!

..on a couple of my lids after trimming the ear piece I added a piece of abs with a screw trough it in the middle of the cheek tube..I also added some backing on the inside of the helmet..it really helps pull the ear piece tight having it anchor in four places ( 2 in the top, 1 in the cheek tube, and a rivit at the bottom) BEFORE AFTER

...field tested it this weekend on a troop..love this lid!

..I bought a Fang Tie helmet yesterday! shhhh , don't tell!!! I've priced daycare..I'm in the wrong biz!

..Im hi-jacking my own thread!! girl..Dahlia..my first kid (that I know of!..ha ha!)..due April 24th..cant wait!!..and thanks TK MD!

..So, my wife is REALLY pregnant ( due the 24th)..but dedicated trooper that I am I've got a troop VERY close to her due date..so I need her to be able to call me if need be..I was trying to figure out how I could keep my cell phone (a Razor) with me in armor and still have it somewhat acessable.I was gonna rig something up in the detonator ( I have the ends attached with elastic)..then I noticed it fit in the drop box perfectly! The little bump from the camera lense tucks under the top rivit piece and the elastic holds the bottom..its wedged in there pretty good! I think I may add a plastic backing with velcro..and my ringtone is already the Imperial march!! Do any of you have any secret stash spots for keys, ID etc?

..since I now seem to have more helmets than heads, I need a place to display them! And I want to have a nice spot for my new ANHV2 helmet when I get it back from paint monday! (yay!) The base and top are 6" and 4" laser cut steel..the bar is aluminum with 5/16"-18 bungs in the ends..the foam I had lying around..and the insignia is laser cut aluminum..I used some little self adheasive feet on the bottom...I think on my next one I may make the base bigger and the bar longer, what do you think?...some black paint and 5min epoxy and viola!! have a great weekend everyone!!

..looks great! is the helmet lined in fabric? and whats around the eyes and mouth? did you use Nacho Libre's mask inside out? and whats in there as far as fans etc? details!!!

..they sure are!! and they work great for avoiding bobble head!!!

..my first attempt! The next one will be ALOT nicer..yes thats 4 (count 'em) 4 fans!! The two in the mouth are wired and set up all nice,,,the one in the center and the dome I stuck in real fast 'cause I was supposed to troop on a 100+ degree day.I love my liner though..its out of a batting hemet and Im gonna put the same thing in my new lid..

looks great!!!..I get so hung up on ANH, its nice to see something different!!!
