  1. congratulations christan, thats awesome. Its a great feeling to come home with a brown box filled with long awaited merchandise. My armor should be coming in this tuesday. Good luck man.
  2. the great debate. lol. You will find the answers you are looking for all over this forum.
  3. This is fabulous Armando! Greatest helmet by far. well done man!
  4. You got me! That's the only time i've seen a holster for the TKs in ROTJ. i dont understand why the trooper in the middle has one but the other tk above does not. maybe its on the other side. Also, if they are all left handed, then why the hell is the holster on the right of him and not the left? But yea, because the magazine is on the left side, they hold the blaster with there left hand to prevent scuffing or something like that. I cant remember who or where i heard that from. Caleb
  5. honestly, i have never seen a holster on any stormtrooper in Jedi. for example, watch the arrival scene of either darth vader or palpatine. In both scenes, you will find that all the stormtrooper are holding their blasters in a battle ready stance with the blaster in the left hand. The reason why they hold it with there left hand was to prevent the ammunition magazine from scratching in to the armor and scuffing it up.
  6. Great analogy Paul, haha. You guys just wait till I receive the armor, Matt told me hes going to be adding the finishing touches to the helmet on Monday, and on Tuesday or Wednesday hes shipping it off. Ill be taking a crap load of photos once its in my grasps. The styrene suit that I bought from him is also a keeper. This suit is not from this recent run, but from the very first run of ROTJ armor that he started back several years ago. From what I have been told, it is the very first suit pulled (a test pull). some of the pieces were coated with a coat of clear gloss enamel, which I will add to the rest of the armor.
  7. This ROTJ armor paired with my metal ROTJ blaster. Match made in heaven Now im just showing off. lol. sorry.
  8. LMAO! very true my friend! very true.
  9. More photos! Dig in everyone!
  10. put me down for 2 sets.
  11. Sounds like I gotta tell santa what i want for christmas! haha.
  12. Hey man, did you get my recent PM?
  13. Yurp. One biscuit colored ABS, and the other is styrene. Im going to troop in the ABS only once, after that its going to be thrown on a Manni and im going to do all my other future trooping in the styrene.
  14. Mmm, hard to say. The plastic is biscuit colored abs which is what the original rotj suits were made from, and from what i have been told, the plant which produced this plastic has closed down, and I believe they were the only ones who produced this biscuit color material. So with that said, I dont want to ruin it by weathering it. Now the styrene suit which i will be receiving, that will be made into a SE "Special Edition" suit, which is nothing but polished styrene. Will i weather it? possibly. I will probably add scuff marks here and there in the legs and chest pieces. Caleb
  15. Thanks for all the kind compliments. Just to dismiss any confusion, the person in the photos is not me, its Matts son who he is fitting it too. He is the same height and around the same weight as i am, so once Matt sends this off to me, the suit should fit like a glove. Yes FON, your trim is the absolute best.
  16. Here are some photos of the partially incomplete TE ROTJ armor that is being built for me. The armor is made out of .06 biscuit colored ABS (just like the original rotj armor) with the exception of the helmet which is made out of .093 styrene painted biscuit. It is a beautiful piece and i cant wait to see the finished product. Anyway, here are a few pics. Enjoy.
  17. I work for Lowe's in their Paint Department. I can wear basically anything i want, except any shorts that i wear must be khaki, and i must wear a Lowe's vest at all times.

  19. Beautiful man, very beautiful. I really cant wait to see this helmet complete. I am still waiting on my helmet and armor.... <_<
  20. Anyone happen to notice the material used in the frown area? It appears to be the same green or black plastic material that was used for the lenses as well. pretty cool Great work man, wonderful photos as well! This will make a great addition to Starwarshelmets.com
  21. Looking very good man, your shoulder bells look very nice!
  22. "Id be careful with photos though, they have a tendancy to make things look different then they really are depending on the quality of the camera, the lighting, the flash, the quality of the photo itself. Here are pics from SWH.com of the ROTJ suit 3 different angles and the colors on the decals look different every time." That is true, digital cameras automatically adjust the white balance every time you take a photo. But after reviewing the photos i think it is pretty spot on, these look to be the best reference photos out there for the decals.
  23. I should be receiving mine very soon also.
  24. The first time I've seen anyone dressed up as a TK was back when I was a kid. I believe it was either 97 or 98. I went to Mt.Trashmore here in Va beach and there was a 2 or 3 stormtroopers and someone dressed as Darth Vader, all I can say is that I was bugging out. I was 8 years old at the time and i was crazy about star wars, especially after seeing the special edition in theaters. It was a very cool experience.
  25. *******.....lol. I love it.
