  6. My request hasn't been approved yet. I'd love to vote.

  8. Duct tape...or if a clothing store is closing down. I found a nice one for $40 and just did some mods on it.
  9. I have two pair of gloves; a pair of nomex and a pair of the rubber gloves. I got the nomex gloves because I figured they would be the most comfortable. I have actually found that the rubber glove with some cotton liners is actually more comfortable (and also looks the best as well). Cotton liners are the key. Got a bunch from Amazon.
  10. Thank for the photobucket fix. That addon works really well. I feel like this needs to be a sticky somewhere!
  11. I have a large and a small husky bin. Finished my small bin. I'm going to do the opposite paint scheme with my larger bin. Thanks for the inspiration and tips everyone. I also took cheap mattress pads from Walmart and cut them to shape and made some easy slips covers for them. Found the fabric at Joanns.
  12. Boo...I love my TK Boots. I would have ordered a second pair had I known they were closing up shop.
  13. Thumbs up for Novus #2 polish and/or mineral spirits
  14. It expires tomorrow. $25 off $200 or more 5638-0XNK-B5EC
  15. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Looks like tapatalk is working again. Thanks everyone for working on this and our brand new website. Great job! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Congrats on the kit! I found some pieces do better with scissors and some do better with score and snap. Might want to look into cut proof gloves. As far as neck seals...I have the zipper version and really like it. Both are probably great. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Looks like you are off to a great start. Good to see a fellow MTK aiming for centurion. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
  19. When it comes to shins, I'd wait until you have your boots and cut and assemble so your shins go over your boots. I made that mistake. I fixed it easily enough, but it was one of those "duh" moments I wish I would have thought about.
  20. ok...well ignore my previous posts. The image shows up on my computer (which is logged into my google account). When i view it from another computer (ie my wife's computer) the image doesn't show up. Looks like the image only show up when on a computer that is logged into your google account. Guess I'm going to imgur then. Was really hoping to use google as I enjoy their service and have more confidence in there support over the long haul. Wish we had the space to host all of our images in the forums themselves.
  21. edit: this guide does not work. See later post. I can confirm it works for me. Maybe I can clarify this a little bit. 1. go to google.com/photos, login and click on the photo you want to link (it should enlarge with a black background around it) 2. right click on and select "copy image address" (this is for chrome browser, phrasing for different browsers will be different) 3. Now in the forum, create you post or reply. Now to insert the picture into the post, click on the insert other media button on the lower right hand corner. Then select insert image from URL. 4. It will show you a box to put your url in. Paste the link you copied from google photos (control-v or right click and select paste) 5. it will be a long url with a bunch of letters and numbers (ie. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/kyNPWmhGKjrjjwCxeOeBd3Lg5Pe86GiLTXCpEU0hDnIV_pgo1I48hpPZgYF_AuYyuUmTmYFL13cGCiXfue2-bDgA6UAO55iDZaouGwG-y1WB9vgoeCSfn8ltmmWFv2KdSriYYnXOvj8qNoAXvoV8abIrybyB2CRLZmars-GfmbGl3c3P0UraajMIyPjGSkHyF7tWv4AwFCIPEJkDskOzvxhmh62TQJ1wmOunESCrZ_IvmeTEMJibKFwgJusvJC4xPCNJYFuUYBuvpEayFzKfq1wsqG-r4jNo62gff3SpLbpushXUnokqrwgBx5JSgsilerC6e2tTY7rOZeg-gclVGOBnk4-R-37Kk-LN301htIts4pUbcCDaayNi5Ed6EUmWkMrOQwpsl6ZtK1UAXjQh3ALEv65vZqArOSD9ORXO00bCXb6dQztQDWaNF6aY7-Bai2mzNBQSiE-nxP2uAoGVkq3wD1a4ecVHlQLfWOB99FfOelC9UYc0e0JFtlo1ZzL3NWWEmDLrgvIt_CvcjuzXwr4UM0Ao29PUv1etHBrsOKat5aNP4ov5EURaSRrO8LMCSo4PtBfslSgXM-rJPyXF8434Tb8e0C3gPnMMy9SbpwGwjQIgJw=w960-h540-no 6. now add ?.jpg at the end of the url. Be sure to add the actual question mark. It should now look something like this. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/kyNPWmhGKjrjjwCxeOeBd3Lg5Pe86GiLTXCpEU0hDnIV_pgo1I48hpPZgYF_AuYyuUmTmYFL13cGCiXfue2-bDgA6UAO55iDZaouGwG-y1WB9vgoeCSfn8ltmmWFv2KdSriYYnXOvj8qNoAXvoV8abIrybyB2CRLZmars-GfmbGl3c3P0UraajMIyPjGSkHyF7tWv4AwFCIPEJkDskOzvxhmh62TQJ1wmOunESCrZ_IvmeTEMJibKFwgJusvJC4xPCNJYFuUYBuvpEayFzKfq1wsqG-r4jNo62gff3SpLbpushXUnokqrwgBx5JSgsilerC6e2tTY7rOZeg-gclVGOBnk4-R-37Kk-LN301htIts4pUbcCDaayNi5Ed6EUmWkMrOQwpsl6ZtK1UAXjQh3ALEv65vZqArOSD9ORXO00bCXb6dQztQDWaNF6aY7-Bai2mzNBQSiE-nxP2uAoGVkq3wD1a4ecVHlQLfWOB99FfOelC9UYc0e0JFtlo1ZzL3NWWEmDLrgvIt_CvcjuzXwr4UM0Ao29PUv1etHBrsOKat5aNP4ov5EURaSRrO8LMCSo4PtBfslSgXM-rJPyXF8434Tb8e0C3gPnMMy9SbpwGwjQIgJw=w960-h540-no?.jpg 7. Now click insert into post. 8. Now you should have your picture like this I hope this helps.
  22. edit: this guide does not work. See later post. So I did a little digging and figured out how to add photos from google photos. I right click on the photo you want to share click on "copy image address" when you paste the image address add "?.jpg? (yes include the actual question mark) That's it. A tiny bit more work, but don't have to deal with photobucket. Hope this helps and pass the word around.
  23. Good luck on the build. While not 100% required, return edges help give the armor the appearance of thickness. I'm linking a couple of threads they may help with return edges. I'd go with an average of 5-6mm on the armor with no return on edges on the bottom of the shins or on the wrist. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31930-return-edges/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/20366-size-of-return-edges-on-the-chest-ab-and-kidney-plates/ Also, I'd encourage you to try to build your armor up to centurion spec from the get go. It's doesn't take that much more work or money, just a little research.
  24. I love my MTK. I built mine to centurion and learned a lot in the process. Its affordable, small wait time, and it includes a lot of the bits and pieces you need. Highly recommend it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
