  2. so far so good. one magnet came unglued once but otherwise they work as i had hoped. once they are on they stay connected and removal is easy. i am happy with them and would never go back to velcro or hooks.
  3. great to see another old long bearded trooper in the advanced ranks! best of luck

  5. i have been trying to get shined up and ready for centurian so have been trooping with tusken lately. ill post how they held up when i get a full day in.
  6. congratulations! how did you paint your blue and gray buttons so perfectly round on the ab?
  7. Awesome, thank you guys. i had just taken my shoulder straps out a bit this weekend to see if that helped with the fitting but was waiting to hear your thoughts before i glued them back down. it seems to help quite a bit. thanks for all of the other tips as well, i will address them asap. I know you all spend a lot of time with each request and I (we) appreciate the effort it takes to run this program.
  8. Ok, here are the freshly painted (after consulting your build thread) TD screws and my boots which i ordered from wherever everybody else gets them, TK boots if i recall. Thanks
  9. it's tight. i fear it is my considerable girth, which at my age is probably not going to change. i can lengthen the shoulder straps a bit to bring everything down and tighter though that will increase the space between the collar and helmet. i tried to split the difference.
