Well Hello There (said in my best Obi-Wan voice) It's been a while since I stopped in to update on my ever growing pile of lovely, lovely blaster parts. Got my Armour approved, took it to EIB then up to Centurion level. Then I had to get the electonics in my lid finished for my induction troop. All done now and I'm now a fully functioning TK. Got more bits to show so decided to post them all together. I have been watching Brian (Bulldog44) creating his amazing replica resin scopes and decided to treat myself when his latest run opened. I'm sorry to say that I was a little bit greedy and ordered two of his M38 scopes. I was on vacation when they were shipped to me so I had a longer wait than I wanted to get my hands on them. It was WELL worth the wait. I cannot compliment Brian highly enough on these or recommend them highly enough for anyone thinking about a blaster build. Amazing M38 scopes from Brian (Bulldog44) by brian.mcdavid, on Flickr I took one out of the (amazing) packaging that Brian has put together for them for a little look, but put it all back together again until build time. I'll probably go back to Brian in the future for one of his M19 scopes too, I just always preferred the look of the M38 but I suppose variety is the spice of life as they say. That's in the future as at the moment I have more scopes than blaster projects. Does that mean that I HAVE to build more? I have also been watching Chris (Fieldmarshall) do fantastic things with his attempt to completely recreate a blaster mostly out of aluminium. His attention to detail on this project is spectacular. I ordered a few things from him to boost my parts haul. Lovely new bits from Chris (Fieldmarshall) by brian.mcdavid, on Flickr Scope and muzzle screws by brian.mcdavid, on Flickr Spring set by brian.mcdavid, on Flickr A pair of powercells by brian.mcdavid, on Flickr Shape B powercells by brian.mcdavid, on Flickr As with the parts from Brian I took these out, had a wee look and put them all away again, but I am so impressed with the quality of all the parts. I'm really not doing myself any favours by assembling such an array of top quality parts as I now have to put them all together in a way that does each and every one of them justice. Why did I do this to mysely? Really please someone tell me why? The list of parts I still need to order is shrinking, but my workload is ever increasing I don't know when my next update will be as I need to thoroughly sort out what I have as it is all spread around the house at the moment. Then I'll try and get the last (Hahaha) of my parts ordered. Then the hard work will begin. Once again, thanks for dropping by my friends Brian

You said it. I'm actually afraid to calculate how much I've spent on blasters in the past 18 months since I bought my first doopydoo kit. I will eventually document all the parts and prices and sellers for all the parts I've bought and make sure the wife doesn't see it [emoji6] I have one more set of t-tracks to order for my sterling and maybe a completion kit from Tino just in case. Then that's it ........ maybe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's where the problem might lie with fieldmarshalls kit. Have you seen how crazy good that stuff is? I've ordered a few parts from him that should hopefully arrive in the next week or so. Time will tell if they get stopped. Again will depend on the description declared for shipping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great information on importing blasters to the UK Chris. I wonder how it will work with blaster kits like the one Chris - Fieldmarshall is working on? I've imported bits and pieces of blasters ( bolt, grip, stock etc) but none been metal or have been as obvious as a full receiver tube. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dremel/What size/kind?
Tee-Kay Fisto replied to Imperial_TK_Rob's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
I went with score and snap method as I'm used to using a knife. As for sandpaper I used 80 grit for rough sanding to get to trim lines then 180 or above for final sanding. I think I used mostly 320 grit in case I slipped. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
These are the base for the rogue one blasters I believe. Not the blaster version but the air soft sterling. Have a good look in the weapons locker at the rogue one section and it will give a great deal of information on these Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Armour Bin for strapped torso.
Tee-Kay Fisto replied to Tee-Kay Fisto's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
That should fit no problem as mine does fit in the 113ltr. That's without the helmet of course. It's separate in an oxford lidsack. I couldn't go larger due to my restrictive car [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Great read as always guys. Love the information on the R1 blaster. Well done Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks man. I'd actually like to do another doopydoo build in the future to see what I can do differently. I actually got a doopy kit for my future son-in-law and he hasn't built it yet. Perhaps I could offer to help him out by building it for him? Just to help him out of course [emoji6] Nothing in it for me [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for your kind words Tino. Praise coming from the master means a lot. My shiny blaster matches my shiny armour. I will probably revisit the paintwork and add weathering. Never got to the brass paint in the scope as I had planned. I'm very happy with the results for my first build. My next build will be twofold as I managed to get my hands on a deactivated sterling while collecting the parts for an aluminium pipe build so they will probably start off together. Both will be documented in as detailed build threads as I can manage starting with the scopes I'm expecting from Brian (Bulldog44) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's a sweet case. It would go nicely with the R2-D2 carry-on luggage I have. Just the carry-on droid I was looking for http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/1e45/ I've reached out to Tony at assassin graphics but I'm trying to get my hands on a High resolution image of the Imperial Scottish Squad logo for him so I can get it put on my plates. I'll wait and see how the bin works out before I decide whether I need something else. -
Hammerite Hammered Finish Spray on Resin/Plastic
Tee-Kay Fisto replied to nDreaZ's topic in ANH BlasTech E11
I masked off the areas that were not being done with hammerite and sprayed that on top of the primer then removed masking tape and sprayed satin black where required as the hammerite was a gloss finish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Figured it would be a pain in the chucks to import. Hadn't considered a rubber blaster seriously before as the details weren't as sharp as resin or pipe builds but this one had me considering it. I think I'll stick with my doopydoo for trooping and build other pretty things for display [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just found this thread and it is a goldmine of information for me as I'm intending to start a sterling conversion soon and this is the first time I have found someone showing how they drilled a genuine hengstler for mounting. Fantastic work and an awesome looking blaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hammerite Hammered Finish Spray on Resin/Plastic
Tee-Kay Fisto replied to nDreaZ's topic in ANH BlasTech E11
I used hammerite on my doopydoo resin blaster after laying down a good even undercoat/primer. Gave a good look. As Joseph said make sure you mask off well to avoid getting it everywhere. It is a pain in the wookie to get it off the little intricate areas if you overspray. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
This is what put us all here. Thank the Maker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The nerves will fade as you get further into your build. I took me over a year to finish my armour as I was scared of messing it up but the support you will find here will help you get past any obstacle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
