  1. You're smashing through this now. Great work! Got some sanding and trial painting done today. Hopefully won't be too far behind you [emoji106]
  2. There are also some great vest options already being made and available to purchase elsewhere.
  3. You know my choice [emoji3]
  4. I appreciate the confidence but I wouldn't be so sure! I haven't had the chance to touch the kit in the last six weeks but I'm determined to be done before 2017 dawns [emoji3]
  5. Great going Vince! Do you think an extra two screws included in the kit would be beneficial?
  6. Here's a helpful description of the removal process courtesy of FISD Member, Dakari .... The first thing I did was to spread my thumb and forefingers across the front of the lenses and alternate light pressure from one side to another. I was able to hear the CA glue giving way as I did this and the lenses felt noticeably looser. After loosening the outer edge tangs, loosen the lens from the center pin using finger pressure or if needed the small slotted screwdriver. There are 2 other pin locations on the upper lens, repeat for these if necessary. Mine was loose as a goose and no additional pressure was needed.. These were the primary glue points on my lens. Once they were free, the lens pivoted back, I released the lens cup, and the lenses rolled back and out.
  7. The answer to removal is carefully! Yet to do mine but I understand it's not too hard if you know where to push/pull. I'll see if I can find some instructions.
  8. Hi there! Yep you get the buckle, three layers of materials and ten Chicago screws. I'm out of town this week but can ship Monday. Usually 5-8 days to the U.S.
  9. Vader Painter Studios via their Facebook page sells lenses. Jim Tripon also sells various parts for his kits. He's Jimmiroquai over at The RFP. Ukswrath sells mic set-ups here on FISD.
  10. Look forward to following your build. It's a great kit! [emoji106]
  11. I saw a Phasma done in four days! Insane effort.
  12. Congrats a fast and most excellent build! Just one thing, you need to switch your forearms. The black square on the Comms pad should be on the bottom.
  13. 12 was what I had in mind. Perfect!
  14. Nice work! So are you going the Meguairs over a clear coat, or considered the same thing? How many cans of Universal did you get through. I've actually tracked it down here in AU so looking into a bulk order.
  15. I have to admit I was quite surprised how few pinholes I found. Enough but not that many. The v4 kit and new mix seems to be a lot better.
  16. I used 40mm x 20mm x 2mm magnets. I've also added a little firm elastic and Velcro as a safety. Belt kit shouldn't be far off. I sent another the same day as yours - to Kansas with tracking - and it arrived Saturday.
  17. How does the paint hold up on the handguards with a little flex? Any cracking?
  18. A Flametrooper would be awesome! Look forward to following the build!
  19. Jim's is a GREAT kit! I'm building mine now.
  20. There's chatter on the T5H thread that someone might start a run.
  21. And VPS is located in North Atlanta, so just next door to you King [emoji108]
  22. Got mine from Vader Painter Studios via Facebook. A VERY nice machines aluminium aerator.
  23. And just when you think you're getting closer! What a stellar effort. I've really got to get myself to this stage soon.
  24. Going great guns. You'll be finished in no time. Watching the painting results with much interest [emoji16]
