  1. I get the same error message every time I visit. "Whoops - poopy happened. Please let the admins know Error:200"
  2. Think not. I know. I've tested this and it doesn't work together.
  3. Looks deliberate to me. Hero shot, not a stunt background.
  4. I thought it would be worst? hot breath inside the helmet - cold air outside. I guess it depends on how much airflow you have in the bucket.
  5. No Joke... On my first troop I was in front of a group of people I couldn't see, nor did I know where to look at during photo ops. So foggy!! I though a single 9v battery was sufficient for 2 hours. :laugh1: :laugh1: :laugh1:
  6. What!? Lenses don't fog up in the uk?
  7. Keep in mind that's the hearing board by itself... Forget using both hearing and fans on the same 5v battery/circuit. Fan whining & whirling noise from hell. Ukswrath's method of 5v / 12v battery setup is the way to go.
  8. First cheap thing you can do is paint the bucket with plasti-dip. Honestly, nothing cheap about this hobby unless you can DIY. I had to go fans out of necessity at first. I purchased a $30 dollar 5v fan setup (hi-tech toyz) on ebay and it sucked figurative and literally. Went through 3 9vs in 3 hours. Penny wise pound foolish... For a little more you can build one yourself, so i did. It's like home improvement projects. Add a little at a time.
  9. anything over 1.5a will work. Thanks for your input!!
  10. The x-liner. Adjustable, Removable and Washable. 2 different thicknesses and many different sizes. Quality military product - worth every penny. Also wanted a liner I could use for multiple helmets if needed. http://www.gibson-ba...u55-Xliner.html

  12. You must be connecting the helmet close to your face to minimize slack on the cable and or must be pulling slack out of the cable? I'm concerned the cable loop will be hanging out of the helmet and visible once I install the lid.
  13. Logistically, How and in which order do you assembly the harness while suiting up. I've never trooped with an umbilical cord to the lid so I'm curious. Have you though about a retractable cable? cheers!!
  14. I received my antigravity mini today...nice and light. White plastic back to boot. Add a white decal with a black imperial cog on the front to cover the branding and your good to go. lol.
  15. HOW TO PROPERLY EMBED IMAGES TO POSTS. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/tutorials/article/48-posting-images-in-threads-2015/
  16. Good job! FYI.. Some pieces are not am 2.0. the curved kidney and return edges on the posterior parts look like NE.
  17. Sale!! Just purchased a Antigravity Mini on amazon for $58 bucks - http://www.amazon.co...ailpage_o04_s00
  18. Off Topic... I added a usb cord to the velleman super ear hearing amp and got lots of humming, white noise - when plugged into the Anker 10000 & Aukey 5000. When plugged into the Anker 20000 and/or standard 12v outlet, the humming goes away.
  19. I tested this out... added a usb to this hearing amp and got lots of humming, static, etc - when plugged into the Anker. When I plugged into standard 12v outlet via the usb, the humming goes away. Just tested with both fans and hearing on the same battery, like Tony mentioned, lots of fan whining noises.
  20. Love the craftsmanship!! Great progress. I can't wait to get my paws on a dday kit and follow along.
  21. that's beyond the scope of my thread. Let me know if you solve on your end.
  22. Unfortunately this is 5v Fans only setup. Yes, it's 1.5a min. If you want to integrate the hearing and fans together on one battery you'll need to do something like ukswrath's doing using 9v/12v battery setup. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29534-helmet-electronics-and-external-power-supply-updated/ You will need to add regulator and diode. check it out. this will be my next step.
  23. I started with measuring the inside circumference of my bucket. Approximately 24 inches +/- 1-2 inches width x 2 inches height. I could have easily made it 25 inches, but could only find 24" stock sheet metal. Using a piece of cardboard as a template I crudely cut my bracket shape. Once I was happy with the final curve and fit. I traced the template onto a piece of paper. Lightly spray glued and placed onto the sheet metal. I used tin snips to the cut the final bracket. Remove burrs and sharp edges with a Dremil. Drill out switch holes. SLOOOOWLY and GENTLY bend the bracket to desired shape. It may help to make many smaller bends while rotating the bracket in your hands. You don't want to crease the metal.
  24. a new thread linked from the original. My 2 cents Anker/DIN Setup Antigravity/CAT Setup
