  1. thats a yes then for accuracy, but they can be left unpainted for Centurian status? (I think it would be really helpful to have the cap sizes included in the CRL?)
  2. That would be brass, 8mm cap then. Thank-you kind sir. One more, should they be painted white for accuracy?
  3. I'm trying to find out if these are suitable or not------------- After doing some reseach on here and other forums, there is a small (1mm) discrepancy over the size of the head and the material of the rivet, so i would appreciate a difinative answer if anyone can offer one?
  4. Can someone confirm if the side rivets are meant to have a 9mm or 8mm top? And do these go on the cod as well? And, can someone confirm the correct colour of the unpainted rivets, nickel or brass?
  5. And they are clearly painted white for the knee?
  6. What size are the cap rivets, 9mm?
  7. I have just picked up an old RT-Mod sandy helmet, its a very nice lid but I need to replace the ears, can anyone hlep?

  9. here is a completed lid, it looks like an fx but different? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Star-Wars-Stormtrooper-Helmet-1-1-Fibreglass-prop-/370560472450?pt=UK_Collectables_SciFi_fantasyCollectables_EH&hash=item5647201582 It has a rounder dome?
  10. woohoo, I get a mention (and I got something right)
  11. I can sit down in my FX suit just fine. Standing back up again from a canvas chair, now that is the challenge. I have also had a ride in the front seat of a landrover, the only problem was that the chest piece got pushed up in to my neck which was quite unpleasant but you should have seen the other drivers faces, obviously with the lid on I couldn't.
  12. or you could try here;---------- a little bit more expensive but a bit more accurate.
  13. The MGM lids do look really nice and it would be good to make up a lid from scratch but it's not for me, I have a mate that wants to do a sandy on the cheap as he has limited cash at the moment, hence why I resorted to looking on evil bay.
  14. Thanks guys, can anyone point me to another cheap lid for a mates new sandy?
  15. I was wondering if anyone could tell the lineage of this helmet? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Star-Wars-Stormtrooper-Helmet-kit-1-1-Fibreglass-prop-/370556851533?pt=UK_Collectables_SciFi_fantasyCollectables_EH&hash=item5646e8d54d#ht_500wt_922
  16. Cheers Bill, Would chicago screws be ok for this?
  17. I can't quite see on the screen caps, what colour are the belt connectors, white or silver?
  18. I have been invited to a barbeque and then asked to pay to attend. guess waht, we didn't go.... Same applies to trooping, I don't mind paying for transport and food but would not pay to go on a 'sanctioned ' troop.
  19. So there isn't a preferred method?
  20. Does it matter which side the overlap is?
  21. But don't we all snicker when someone asks to look at our helmets
  22. Paul, please accept my apologies for stirring things up, it was never my intention, I was just interested is'all. I am glad that you are going to put the pictures back up as I wouldn't want to cause grief to others by posting my misguided question. Sorry buddy.
