  4. Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate the thorough and thoughtful observations. I will make some tunes prior to my Centurion application. The TD does have four rivets, i guess they're just hiding in the picture. You can see their faint reflection in the flat part of the clip. Woo hoo!!!

  6. I'm in the Imperial Boots fan club as well. They get more comfortable the longer you wear them.
  7. Hello, Requesting 501st access, please. Todd Weishaar TK-22237 Star Garrison http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=18902 Thank you!
  8. If I get my first choice, it's the tail number of the plane I've spent the most time in.
  9. These are the times where package tracking seems more of a curse than a blessing. By that I mean you see the status and curse.
  10. I've got a pair of Imperial Boots. They look great and are very comfortable. I've trooped in them once with no problem. I'd go a half size larger for the best fit. I didn't and they fit fine without an insole. With the insole it's pretty close.
  11. Welcome aboard! Make sure to join the Star Garrison recruit page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/296336407050926/. There are plenty of troopers here and there ready to help!
  12. I recently got a pair of white TK Imperial Boots. I don't have other boots to compare these to, so here's my general impressions. Overall, these are very nice. The fit is a bit tight right out of the box but they loosened up quickly. Going a half size larger may be a good idea. The leather appears sturdy and is very white in a almost egg shell type finish, not glossy but not flat either. The pulls are kind of thin and had me worried some as I was pulling them on, but they didn't budge at all. They worked very well with the armor and didn't poke out as I walked around. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.
  13. Hello. I was doing some research on shins as I'm having a bit of trouble with mine. Looking through some recent Centurion applications, I saw a lot of variation: Is there any standard that we need to follow for the tops of the shin armor in the back (the same area where I'm having trouble)? I see some cut back as well, is that for better movement or to protect from bites? Thanks!
  14. Great suggestions, thanks! I'll see after my first couple of troops if I find it really annoying. If so, I'll try some of these.
  15. Hello, I'm still a newbie so this may sound really dumb. I've been sizing and testing out my armor and it seems noisy as I walk around. It's not a groaning of seams as much as it is a rattle of free floating parts. Shoulders on biceps, boxes on thighs, etc. Is this normal? There's a part of me that wants to modify the armor into stealth mode with little bits of white felt hidden in the noisy areas.
  16. I prefer the engineer's motto: If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
  17. Very much in the same boat! I try to limit to one vice at a time but it doesn't always work. Flying, running, brewing, RC cars, RC planes, RC helicopters, virtual reality, video games, costumes/armor..... I guess I just figured out why I don't ever seem to have any money. All of these seem to bring me closer to family and friends so it's all worth it.
  18. I know this is an old thread, but this was my inspiration to join this forum and start down the trooping path. I'm a 12 year old trapped in a 44 year old body. I look forward to the journey!
