Do you mean the fabric the snap is set in? I used e-6000 to glue it to the ABS

I think raising the abdominal and butt/kidney plate grouping might help too. The cod piece should cup the family jewels.
If you shorten the connecting straps between the chest and backplate, these will be raised up, as well as the ab/kidney/butt. Noting that for basic approval the backplate can have minimal overlap over the kidney plate.

G’day and welcome from Melbourne, Australia, Bart.
Condolences for your loss.

When shopping for snaps, I find spending a bit more on quality snaps is a good idea. I had cheap ones from the local haberdashery store and they started popping loose. I replaced them with good quality sporting/yachting snaps and I haven’t looked back

Thank you
Yes, you can buy the files via his Etsy store:

Imperial Surplus does one too. I think it’s the TFA version, but it’s a nice looking kit (I’m helping a garrison mate build one).

Welcome from Melbourne. You’re in good hands with the RBG crew.
Looking forward to following your progress.

If I were that size, I’d be all over a Vader costume!

Not everyone has the budget to burn on a Vader costume. It can easily run 4-5 times the cost of a TK.- 1

How is the backpack coming along?
Super slow
Got distracted by another project, then had a printer issue which I haven’t had time to remedy.
That said, I’ve printed 2 of the smaller boxes and the cup. Radio box is being printed as 4 parts, of which 2 are done.

Bunnings sells the split rivets.
How many you after? I may have some spares you can have. Pick up after Uncle Dan lifts lockdown

Why are you wanting to raise the thighs? They look high already. You can probably trim some of the return edge at the top of the thighs though to give yourself some space.
I don’t see how the ammo strap/pouch can be rubbing your calf given the gap between the 2 parts.

G’day Steve
You’re in good hands with Glenn and the WA crew. I’m over in Melbourne, but give us a hoy if you need any advice or help
I bought my compression stuff from Aldi. Obvo it doesn’t get as hot here, but it does the job and at the price point its cheap enough to buy a couple of sets
Cheers

After reading 501st reviews on balaclavas when trooping in hotter conditions, I purchased the "Under Armor UA HeatGear Tactical Balaclava Facemask (Black)".
That's the one I've got. Wasn't cheap, but worth every cent.

Nice one Peter. I posted the question over on PFD but will do so here for those not following along there: is this something you bought locally or online? Any recommended resellers?
