  1. Not all of them. The ones with the red asterisks denote Centurion requirements, (split rivets, pan-head TD screws, correct ear screws). The screws on the bottom of the Anovos ears are incorrect (round head), however the top ones are good (flat head countersunk). The bracket system is not required for Centurion. It is indeed screen accurate, but is a matter of choice between that and nylon/elastic straps. I would STRONGLY advise you to take the Velcro strapping that Anovos supplies and throw it in the trash. It is pure garbage. I would also advise replacing the canvas belt. It is cheap, flimsy and will not pass at level 3. The holster is AWESOME, though. You will also need flexible hand guards for level 3. There are a few sources for these, but I do sell them. Information is under my avatar below.
  2. I would echo exactly what Brien said about the nylon instead of ABS, and nylon also conforms to the curves of the ABS better. Pardon the pun, but I would stick with E-6000 for everything. CA (super) glue can heat up while curing and cause the issue you mentioned. E-6000 does not. CA glue can (and will) become brittle after time and cause the connection to fail.
  3. What exactly was bugging you? We should be able to help.
  4. My pleasure, sir. Although the single snap is good for that connection, I would highly recommend using 2 on the shoulder elastic to shoulder bell connection. I have seen more shoulder bells come unsnapped and slip down during troops than you can imagine. Although most troopers use single snaps on the majority of connections, I went with the double snap method on most others on all my armor. Yeah, it costs a bit more and takes longer to do, but in my opinion it is well worth it to know that none of my connections will ever fail. The larger picture is not my armor, but I have the same setup except for the Velcro on the sides, where I also have double snaps.
  5. Using a single snap on each end for that connection should be just fine, Mark.
  6. Working on your submission now, sir. Thanks for your patience!!
  7. Hi Fred, welcome and thank you for your EIB application. Let's have a look, bruder! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted., your armour displays all necessary element as set out in the level 2 CRL, Congratulations on a job well done!. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestions affects any application, it will be listed below. Nice job on this RS armor, Fred! Just a few notes for you to get you looking your best and hopefully get you to level 3.. I also want to mention that your TD plate positioning is perfect, and awesome job on that E-11! 1. There are a couple of issues on your bucket... The first is that the bottoms of the ears are a little too far forward. Note how the screws are in a line that follows the angle of the trap above them in the reference below. Doing this would give you a more screen accurate look. Reference image 2. The second is that your tube stripes are a little farther out than they should be, especially the ones on the right. The tops of the stripes should be about a pencil width from the cheek. Reference image 3. The clips on your TD should be tightened up a bit to where they are closer to the raised section on the back. Doing this will also help you keep it secure so it doesn't fall off! (I've seen it happen..) \ Reference image 4. SUPER nice job on those side ab/kidney connections, but I would suggest tightening up the strapping between the kidney and back plates to eliminate the small gap. Reference image 5. The size of your large ab button plate is absolute textbook, but the small one could use some trimming. The edges should be inside the perimeter of the raised area. Reference image 6. Tightening up the strapping between your posterior/back plates would reduce or eliminate the problem highlighted below, and line them up a lot better: Reference image Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. 1. As mentioned your shoulder bells will need to come in closer to the shoulder bridges, (touching or very nearly touching them). Doing this will also help eliminate the gap between the bells and your chest/back plates. I see that you removed all the return edges on the bottoms (smart move) so this should be easy. Reference image 2. The drop box on your right side will actually need to come in a bit. The outer edge should align with the outer edge of the ABS belt: Reference image 3. As you are aware, the screws on your TD will need to be replaced with the "pan-head" style. Reference image Overall a very impressive build, Fred. Looking forward to seeing your Centurion submission in the near future. Zeit, um die deutsche stolze Garnison zu machen!
  8. Hi D'Angelo, welcome and thank you for your EIB application. Let's have a look, shall we? CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted., your armour displays all necessary element as set out in the level 2 CRL, Congratulations on a job well done!. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestions affects any application, it will be listed below. One of the best overall builds I've seen in a while, sir. Your attention to detail is obvious, and I just have a few notes for ya' to tighten up your overall look. 1. The brow on your bucket could stand to be dropped a bit. Yes, there were higher ones on some ANH Troopers, but the vast majority had lower ones as seen blow in the reference image. Reference image 2. The bottoms of your ears could use a little trimming. Reference image 3. As mentioned in your post above, eliminating the extra tube stripes would make for a much better look. Reference image 4. Not a deal breaker by any means, but if you have some time on your hands and feel up to it, the ab button plates could be squared off and the small one reduced in size a bit, (AWESOME paint job, by the way)! Reference image 5. Not sure if you noticed, but your shoulder bells are on the wrong sides. In some kits they are interchangeable, but ATA's does have the distinctive screen accurate "swoop" at the bottoms, which should be facing forward. Reference image Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Your right drop box needs to be moved out about half an inch to align with the outside edge of the ABS belt. A dab of CA glue or E-6000 on the back of the strap to hold it in place would make this perfect! Reference image As mentioned, a great build, brother, and I look forward to seeing your Centurion application soon!
  9. Hi Giles! Could you do me a quick favor and post up a pic of your gloves? Thanks!
  10. NICE JOB on those tube stripes, sir! I will have some news for you by tomorrow morning, D'Angelo!
  11. Hi Patrick, welcome and thank you for your TFA EIB application and your patience. Let's have a look, brother.. Overall an EXCELLENT build with this TFA armor, sir! Just a few notes for you... 1. Your spats should be lowered a bit to expose the small black rectangle at the bottoms. The one on your left is barely seen, and the one on the right cannot be seen at all. Just a small item, but these are the things that make the difference Reference image 2. Tightening the strapping on your posterior armor would help eliminate of the gap you have between it and the belt and give you a better look. Reference image 4. You have a double return edge on your wrist openings, which could use about 2 mm trimmed off and then cleaned up with some fine grit sandpaper for a cleaner look. (Easy fix)!! Be sure to leave a small amount of return edge, though! Reference images Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. 1. Your shoulder bells look a bit low, and should sit right at the level with the yoke. You have the required shoulder bell supports (tabs) but they are installed incorrectly. It looks as if you are using ABS for the tabs, and changing them out for metal ones may help with support issues. The tops could also be a bit closer to the yoke itself. Reference image 2. Hopefully you will be aiming for level 3 next, and if so you will need to replace all the fabric gaskets with ones made from rubber. Again, a simply awesome job on this armor, Patrick, and one you should certainly be proud to wear! Congratulations!
  12. Thank you for your application, Miguel, and we will be with you shortly sir!
  13. Glad to see you are back at it, Jake, and congrats on the weight loss! The snaps should go where the green dots are, and I would definitely trim off all those return edges as marked. You can trim even trim them down more if you like and still be fine: Reference image NOTE: When cutting any sharp angled areas/corners, (like on the posterior plate above) be absolutely sure not to make the angle perfect, By that I mean give it a very slight curve to the corner by using a round needle file. If you make the curve too sharp it can (and will) crack in that area.
  14. REALLY nice job on this armor, Giles! One of us will be with you shortly, sir.
  15. Perfect, and I'm looking forward to seeing the results!
  16. One last photo, sir, and we will get you going! Please add a close-up photo of the hand guards showing that they are flexible. Thanks!!
  17. Way to go Aaron! Next up, Centurion!
  18. Looking sharp, Patrick! Sorry for the delay, but we are working on this right now. Thanks for your patience!
  19. Hi Tomas! We will be with your shortly, sir, but could you please post up a close-up photo of the front of your boots? Thanks!
  20. Hi Jenny! Welcome back and than you for your Centurion application... let's get to it, Trooper. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present. Great job, and on behalf of the D.O. team, welcome to the rank of Centurion! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Thanks for addressing the issues mentioned in your EI submission and for adding the pic of your blaster. Going the extra mile really worked out! The only thing I can mention is that your sniper knee pate is riding behind your left thigh. This is a common problem and can be remedied by placing a foam strip inside, right behind the inside cover strip. Easy peasy. Reference image Again, wonderful work... now it's time to get out there and start representing the Empire and the Capital City Garrison as the newest Centurion!
  21. Hi Grave, welcome and thank you for your EIB application. Let's have a look, brother.. First, thank you for changing out the canvas belt (MUCH better), gloves and the blaster. The few items that follow are recommendations to make your armor look even closer to screen accuracy, and I am sure you will do a great job! 1. I appreciate you lowering the inside of your thigh ammo pack, but it really should have an equal distance from the back on both sides. If there is a hole showing afterward, it can easily be filled with ABS paste. Reference image (right side) Reference image (left side) Reference image I would also suggest gluing it (the thigh ammo pack) into place as in your first photos. Although there were a few Troopers who had them lower down, the majority of them hid the bottom of the right thigh. Either way is fine. Reference image INCREDIBLE job on that back to kidney connection, brother, and your posterior plate is perfect on the left side, but unfortunately it is lower on the right side. This may be a strapping issue which can be easily fixed by tightening it up or adding a new strap in that area. Reference image The size and shape of your large ab button plate is as close to screen accurate as you can get, but the 4 button plate could use some trimming. I would also think about cleaning up the paint on the buttons a little bit to give you a more polished look. Your forearms look pretty wide at the wrist opening, and could stand to be tapered a little bit. This would really add to your overall appearance. Reference image Just a few suggestions on your bucket.. Your tube stripes should be moved a little closer up. The distance between the upper edge and the cheek should be about the width of a pencil (10mm). If you decide to redo them please also note that tops of the front stripes should lean forward towards the frown. (Reference pic 1). As of now they are actually on the wrong sides. Also, the frown should extend a bit farther as seen in reference pic 2. Reference image 1 Reference image 2 The rear traps are not symmetric. The left one really dips down quite a bit as compared to the right one, and they should be of a similar shape and size. Reference image Lastly, a super simple fix for you.. a small dab of white paint on the right ear screw would make a big difference! Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Just a few issues to address, sir. For level 3 (which I hope you will be submitting for) you will need to address the following: 1. As per the CRL, the ABS hand guards will need to be the flexible type, either rubber or rubber-like. 2. Shoulder bells should be close to (almost touching) the shoulder bridges. Reference image Again, super job, sir, and I look forward to seeing your Centurion submission when you are ready!!
  22. To all those looking for approvable TK boots, Imperial Boots is open from the 12th until the 19th of this month. Some of you may know that they make these in "waves", meaning that they are only available for short periods of time. I'm not shilling for them, but since TKBoots have only odd sizes left this is a good alternative. I have 2 pairs, and they have held up great. If you order a pair, I recommend getting a size larger than what you normally wear. https://www.imperialboots.com/
  23. If anyone knows where to get hardware in Germany, it's Tino!
