  1. Morning Kaleb, welcome to the forums!.. When you have all your costume together with all parts you take the photos. First step is to work out where you are located and reach out to the local garrison, they will then have an email address these photos need to go to; generally [email protected] or similar. Once you have that address you will need to get dressed in your costume and take the necessary photos and send these to the Garrison Membership Liaison who will judge your costume against the CRL and provide any feedback needed. Assuming you are building a Stromtrooper (TK) you will find a vendor list on these forums of components that in the past have been approved, note that nothing is off the shelf approved; the costume needs to fit you properly so you may find details need adjusting. Best bet is to find your local garrison, join their forums and introduce yourself, they will be able to assist you on the path....
  2. I always like to tell new cadets that all of us were new at some point; none of us had ever built a Stormtrooper kit until we built the first one....! If unsure about anything ask!!!!
  3. looking forward to these mate :D
  4. OMG YES!
  5. sorry to necropost but watching Mando Season I again and had forgotten about these? Was this CRL ever completed??? (I can;t see it so am assuming no one built the costume?)
  6. Done! thanks as always
  7. Another piece to preventing cracks is not rushing, take your time to kit up and equally take your time getting dekit. The number of times I have seen damage happen taking a kit off is not one, so be careful.... I ONLY use hard crates for armour and even them am careful with how its handled. Like others have said reinforce the shoulder straps (and be careful with them when packing/unpacking, and reinforce your edges where you can....
  8. one of my members is showing as expired with this detachment, can this be sorted please. Aston Hall, 10663 thanks andy

  12. Hey Piers, I am andy the CO of the Southern Cross Garrison which appears to be your home garrison based on the details in the forum post Best bet is to throw up some images here or on the SCG forums (recruitment section is here https://www.501scg.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=23_) so we can help work out what is needed next.... Out of the box approvals are very rare and a lot of the time small fixes are needed so we can help you with those as well Very exciting to see what you have mate!!!
  13. We are always available to help on the Southern Cross Garrison Forums Do what you can before Supanova and come find us in the Star Wars fan Zone and we can help with any dressing issues you may be having!!!!

  15. love this winning design for sure... in regards to the back could you just trace the same TK shapes on the reverse side so they take up the same space, maybe put the FOTK in front on the back side. (edited cause' i forgot the t in trace)

  20. Every piece of SW news is sent my way, anything with a Stormtooper locally I get asked if that was me.... Someone hadned me an "ooshie*" this morning as she walked in as she knew i'd appreciate R2.... Its established I have May the 4th off every year as well as any dates for premiere events. Someone called me up and asked if I had a cape at work for something they needed.... I did... as well as a cheap Vader costume to go with it. I was asked about lightsabres, I had two under my desk... I've worked a shift on our service desk dressed as a Stormie.... so yeah I am definitely the Star Wars guy at work.... *limited edition collectibles from grocery store
