  2. you can always use the handy 'follow this topic' feature.
  3. if you used novus 2 and not novus 1 then the use of 2 only can leave a haze. or if you have left swirl marks. using novus 1 is paramount to keeping the protection layer and anti UV aspects intact. The mistake most people might make is by not finishing up with novus 1
  4. it's just the camera angle. they look much different. the before and after changes pulls are very much different
  5. the camera angle gives me distortion.
  6. The process for pre-heating the mold, also pre- oven tempering a low heat for a long period of time dries out the moisture in HIPS and ABS. ambient temp is avoided by pre- tempering your sheets of plastic, heating your mold and table surface then bringing your plastic up to forming temp. after the pull is settled on the mold and you've run your chopstick around the eye holes and pushed in the teeth with the stick. allow the plastic to cool and cure completely. then take a razor knife and score the plastic 1/8' away from your trim line. peel your cut plastic away. then using the air blower from inside the mold box, apply air pressure and work the cap n back from the brow around the rear undercut. when pulling the face work the knife and pull from the forehead around the mold. 2 keys here 1 cool completely 2 cut near trimline in a score, (not completely though) use air and gentle pressure to help release the mold.
  7. if I use a ponytail my helmet wont fit. so I use a baclava and just let the hair sit as normal no tie needed just the neckseal and baclava works fine.
  8. you should move the high side down. on the left as you wear it. just about 1/4"
  9. America does not allow freedom of speech. In our cultural environment we do not have the freedom to speak. IF you take 5 minutes to do a google search you can find how americans are punished for what they say. football players. Politicians, actors.. all are crucified in public opinion by insults. some americans are FINED BY THEIR EMPLOYER as punishment for their speech. members of staff on the FISD have thrown out questionable comments. I ranted because of them. and what happened? my comments were erased. freedom to be brushed under the rug I have seen a comparison between america and russia.on the FISD used as a way to excuse insults. america if you study her... has punished many for what they have said. THE FISD CAN GROW UP! by standing up. The GOAL of communication is peace. and understanding. Dare i say that the FISD should offer LOVE?
  10. velcro is so simple BTW I use no shin attachment to the boot. not screen accurate. . the mod sounds fun.. but it is just extra work that is not needed.
  11. no actual suggestions on how to solve the problem.
  12. A simple solution has been offered before. put velcro at the front of the boot. and on the inside of the shin.
  13. you helped me. THT. and the the threads were almost a year to the day apart.
  14. it is quite amazing that the timing of these threads are so close!' almost exactly to the day. duplicate threads... almost
  15. I posted in a pauldron thread? where is my post? my computer says 2 16 2015 and the date on posts in this thread is 2 17 2015 looks like even the clock is a day ahead on this particular thread.. strange. ------------ my post has been removed?
  16. cut the plastic off the mold. then using an angle tip on the compressor blow air into the lip. don't remove plastic while hot. allow to completely cool.
  17. Great additions! can you take a measurement from the eyeline top and note the distance from eye top, to top of frown height of frown, to vocoder top. this will give me vertical distances to compare.
  18. Personally I feel that the HWT packs out there could up the bar just ever so slightly from my viewpoint, I like the builds that I have seen, but the scale seems to be off just slightly in width, height, thickness and side panel details. some of the aspects have been idealized, with little attention paid to replicating the shapes more accurately. the handle feature at the top of some of the packs actually in my view should be solid, not a handle shape. Since it's a video game render, and we're shooting at the walls, I really wish that our community would come up with a pack that is the accurate size, shape and has the correct scale. and personally as a trooper with back, neck and body problems I can't see how I could wear an actual pack with much weight on it. I'm thinking about a foam pack. still good work.. and can someone please go all the way with an HWT pack build. (lightweight and accurate. and no, it does not have to actually be a pack. just solid) actual packs seem too heavy for me.
  19. These packs are getting better and better! good work!
  20. I put rivets though the back of the stud snap too... and splitting the cap set happens when you use the snap press pliars. this is a great way to use the anvil method!
  21. it's not called the JY. the junk yard is on the RPF. it's called the IC around here.
