  1. Looking forward to the sales thread
  2. Make sure you insulate it. These things echo like crazy inside.
  3. Your welcome
  4. Update. After wearing the armor on a couple troops something really began to bug me, the shoulder bells wouldn't lay flat against the biceps at times. After going back through some photos I discovered the movie armor uses elastic, similar to that used to connect he posterior to cod. Simply put it holds the bell against the shoulder gaskets and biceps. Material needed: 10-15"" of 1/8" black round elastic 4x 1" square velcro pads 1. Starting with the elastic, measure and cut a section for each arm. Should fit around 3/4 of the shoulder gasket circumference. Cut out the velcro squres. 2. Using an exacto knife or other create a small hole in the velcro (hook side). 3. Feed the elastic through the hole. 4. Tie a single knot 5. Sew the extra section of elastic to the velcro 6. Install the velcro mounts (loop side) on the bells, around the center upper section. Test install. Installation. Leave the front section disconnected when installing armor. Wrap it around your arm then connect to velcro mount, or have your handler do it. Besides being screen accurate it should give your armor a cleaner look when trooping around. Enjoy
  5. Thanks Alberto we'll be with you shortly
  6. Hi Jose, Happy New Year and thank you for your application. Sorry for the delay CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been submitted and all requirements have been met for Expert Infantry. Congratulations and welcome trooper. Also, you're the first EIB of 2016 :happy and cheerful birthday: Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section, we review suggestions made by your fellow troopers and our own observations. All go towards improving the final look of your armor. One area that caught our eyes was your TD to belt position, it sitting very high. Lowering it a bit will help preventing it from falling off or being stolen during troops. It also gives the armor assembly a better look. Another area of concern as mentioned by Paul are your shins. You have two inner sections on one leg and two outer sections on the other. Though this won't effect your application we're suggesting you contact Terrell at ATA for clarification. Centurion Suggestions: If you choose to apply for Centurion you'll need to create the 22mm notch in the kidney as seen here. Great job
  7. Some may see it as a sacrilege, others will see it as a new version of fan sculpt. As long as it's not so far off the mark it requires changing TK
  8. Neither, just interesting
  9. Interesting You got that right.
  10. Hey Mike looking awesome brother As for suggestions don't forget to remove all forearm return edge material from the trailing edge (wrist side). Though it won't effect basic or EIB it will effect Centurion, which I know that's what you're shooting for. For level three certification (if applicable): No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. The sniper knee it looks to be in the correct position. Though it won't effect any approvals, it would make your armor look cleaner and eliminate any armor biting if you removed a bit more return edge as indicated below. Regarding the shins looking the same, welcome to AM armor, technically they are.
  11. Not quite sure who's armor you're referring to but fair enough. When you first placed your order you should have received a confirmation email stating your order #, etc. You can also contact ANOVOS.com directly and request a refund. http://www.anovos.com/pages/support
  12. Hey Andre, if you don't mind me asking why do you want to cancel your order?
  13. YIKES! Mr. Roboto has arived
  14. If you purchase it assembled that may not be a bad idea though not really necessary. If you build it it's a measure yourself as you go process.
  15. Thanks Andy your assistance is much appreciated. How many straps and ratchets are in that order of $300. Also, do you have any reference pics we can see? For everyone - I'm still looking for accurate movie stills or other images of the connection points at the top of the shoulder, back of shoulder, and lower back assembly. **No toy pictures please, I do not believe they are screen accurate. Thanks
  16. This was my app approval, Sly was not involved so don't blame him. Though I agree with you regarding the rivet, unless it's defined exactly what type of rivets are allowed in the CRL, it's my call. The remainder of the armor was, in my opinion excellent. Charging handle was my mistake and I'll be letting Rui know and I'll state my mistake on the thread. Holster For 501st approval: The fasteners may be rivets, snaps, or Chicago screws.
  17. Happy New Year everyone! Welcome Rui and thank you for your Centurion application. Let's start 2016 with a bang shall we? CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. All requested updates have been completed and posted, Thank you. As others have mentioned your pictures are a bit washed out but your EIB pics looked great so we'll call it good. With that said your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Centurion, excellent work trooper! Sly and myself would like to especially congratulate you for being the first Centurion in the Portuguese Outpost, and the first Centurion of 2016 . Your fellow garrison mates should be proud. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: None!
