  1. Nice job so far. To make it easier for those following you can you post the pictures here on this thread. Keep up the good work Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  2. Thank you. Can you post a pic of the TD screw side also so we can see how it attached. Lastly, please remove the paint from the cod riveted and posterior snaps and post a new photo. Thank you Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  3. There ya go, looks awesome.
  4. lol, the reason they're hard to find is probably because they're for storing photographs. Since physical photographs have almost become extinct to most they tend to hide the boxes in the back of the store since they're not in high demand. If asking for help at a store just ask for a photo box as Joseph mentioned.
  5. Hey Mike welcome to your EI application. Lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Beautiful build Mike. Thank you for making our job easy. In this area we take suggestions from your fellow troopers or any observation we may have, if any and share them with you here. We only have one are we'd like to see clean up a bit. Though not bad, your shoulders could stand to be tightened up a bit. We suggest adjusting the upper shoulder bell strap to the point where your bells almost touch the cover strips. Again, it's not a big issue however, it will make you armor look that much cleaner. Below your photo is a screen reference photo illustrating what were looking for. Reference photo Waist ammo belt a bit low, it should reside just below the ab buttons. Not a huge issue but definitely worth adjusting when you have time. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. At this time we have nothing to add here. Hope to see you at Centurion
  6. or bent
  7. AWESOME!
  8. The movie armor elastic was painted white in certain areas.
  9. Hey Josh, the box dimensions look pretty close however, they should have straight sides, these appeared to be bowed out. If at the end of the day they look correct, then I say yes you're good to go. keep in mind the boxes need to look squared. Not sure if you're using the smaller pvc pipe (antenna) or it's just there as a reference but it should be 2" As for the measuring container, if you plan on dressing it up to look correct then I don't see why you can't use it as a base.
  10. Hey Jake, I have no idea of you body type but I'm going to throw out some suggestions here. If you have larger leg girth that exceeds the basic assembly specifications of the armor then it is recommended you add shims to widen them so that they still fit correctly. If assembled correctly when worn the thighs should almost touch your COD (crotch armor). If not you may need to shim it. If you're just shorter in stature and need to trim the armor down that's different. In that case it is recommended you trim the top edge of the thighs first so that they sit higher on your thighs as required and eliminating the need to trim the lower. To increase mobility, if the position of the thighs are correct then you can trim the lower back of thigh to just above the return edge. Hope this helps. If not post some pictures so we can see what you're dealing with.
  11. Great job! If I could give you any advice it would be to bring the shoulder bells inward so that the tops almost touch your shoulder covers. Yours appear to have a 1+" gap. Also, the upper edge of the waist belt should reside just below the lower button on the ab button plate, yous is about 1" below. None of these suggestions should prevent you from being 501st approved by your garrison however, they may mention it. The suggestions will enhance the overall look and accuracy of your armor. Good luck trooper
  12. Hey Mike, Sly or myself will be with you shortly. In the meantime would you be so kind as to post a photo showing the exterior connections of the posterior and cod as well as the helmet "S" please.
  13. That essentially would be called recasting which is frowned upon, unless given consent from the originator.
  14. Looking great Vince, almost there brother
  15. Very cool Jimmi, great job on all these costumes
  16. Not yet, sorry for the delay.
  17. Movie accurate is white on the inside, assuming painted. As long as it appears white on the inside either painted or other it will be accepted at all levels of approval. The guideline is a bit vague, hence the photo gallery. Hope this helps
  18. They do look a bit thick/heavy. They should look more like this or this
