TK-27612 Requesting [ANH-Stunt] Centurion Status (SDS) [365]
ukswrath replied to ToniML's topic in Request Centurion Status
Hey Toni before we get started we have a couple areas we would like addressed. Centurion level is about accuracy and since accuracy is what we're striving for upon further inspection we noticed the TD screws are inaccurate, they should be flat pan heat type. Reference photo Also, there's to be no return edge on the wrist side of the forearms. Please remove the remaining return edge. Reference photo Once you're finished please add new photos. Thank you -

Hey David welcome back and thank you for your Centurion application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present. Andrew and I are pleased to say your armor displays all the elements as set out in the Centurion CRL. Congratulations and welcome to Centurion Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Centurion is the ultimate level in accuracy. Here you want your armor looking as canon as possible however, ultimately it's is up to you to decide. Thank you for updating recommended areas suggested during your EIB application. Continuing along the same lines we're highly recommending you resolve the following issues also mentioned in your EIB app. Incorrect ear screws. The screw type should be "V" head not "Pan" head. Reference photo Soft Vcoder lines Reference photo Waist belt a bit low. Reference photo That's it. Great job on your build. Now it's time to get out there and make the Empire proud trooper

TK-14655 Requesting EIB status ANH Stunt (RS) [779]

Nice work -
Just the upper decals. The stripes are Vcoder are painted with the stunt. Again Trooper Bay sells the tube stripe stencils but the Vcoder you'e on your own.

Can go either way. If you plan on using decals just use "Dave M" decals. You can pick them up on trooperbay.com
-
You can start there yes but my point was the entire upper ear can be thinned out to draw the lower section closer with minor trimming. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Thin out the top section. Lightly trim the lower as needed. Reference photos

Hey Brien thank you for your EI application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Beautiful job on your build . Your armor meets all EIB requirements, Andrew and myself are delighted to welcome you to Expert Infantry. Congratulations Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor and accuracy. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Again, these are suggestions and recommendations. The accuracy is ultimately up to you. Your helmet Vcoder lines could use a little more definition as seen in the provided reference photo. We're recommending you touch up the following areas. Reference photo The Hovi tip screens should be a heavier weave. We're recommending you replace these Reference photo Next up is the shoulder bell gap. There should be minimal gap between the shoulder bells and chest/back plates. This may be a simple photo issue, if not do the best you can to bring these in as close as possible. Tightening the straps and removing any lower return edge tends to help the most. Reference phoito And finally, the right side of the sniper knee looks to be protruding out a bit. We're a little concerned it might get snagged on something. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for your Centurion application if you choose to apply. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. At this time we have nothing to add. That's it, great job. Hope to see you at Centurion.

TK61514 requesting TFA EIB status [Jimmiroquai] [784]
ukswrath replied to Ensi's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
You're are correct it doesn't have any bearing on EIB, but we use it for multiple reasons as with the OTTK. Thank you -
Congrats Mike

Congrats my fellow GGG brother

As for the thigh ammo belt, trim off the majority of the outer return edge first (The area outside the vertical boxes). To mold use the hot water bath technique. I found it easiest to soften it up then wrap it around a can equivalent to the size of your lower thigh area (allow for the mounting ends to remain straight). Let cool, repeat as necessary until you've obtained the desired shape. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Ab buttons are correct, yes one set of drop boxes goes into the other and the ammo belt covers are correct, just don't use the belt with the indent it's not correct. Here's a photo a canon belt without the square covers installed.
-
I'm assuming you're building a ANH stunt (most popular). This looks to be an AM 1.0 or 2.0 kit. Do you have any other pieces? From what I can see here you're missing a few items. Let's go over what you can and can't use from the photos you've provided. Top #1 photo - the belt with the indented squares, hold off to the side, you won't be using this one. The other belt and boxes are ok. Photo #2 - keep everything here however, if you're shooting for Centurion the plastic hand guards will need to be replaced with flexible versions. Photo #3 - Except for the Ab plate (bottom right) you won't be using any of these items. As a matter of fact if you plan on applying for the higher levels of accuracy Centurion you'll need to replace the Ab button plates with versions with integrated buttons. Photo #5 - These are either Sandtrooper or Return of the Jedi items.

I'm suspecting you've been given two different waist ammo belts, one if assembled correctly one is Centurion approved, the other is not.
