12/9/5v battery to fit inside a bucket? Doesn't exist Jeff, unless something new has come out in the last year. I'm always looking for new battery supplies and the smallest I've seen are from Antigravity but those will only fit in a chest plate or a similar space. If you find something in your search please let us know.

You can do it Joe

TK-10171 Requested ESB EIS Status (AM2/TM) [829]
ukswrath replied to cjdesign's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hey Carl, thanks for your EIB application. Let's take a look. CRL and EIB Application Requirements:It appears all the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the required components for L2. Joseph and I would like to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry . Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few areas to go over here so let's take a look. Looking at your shoulder bells first, there should be minimal gap between the shoulder Bells and Chest & Back plates. We're requesting you tighten the upper and lower connecting straps and possibly remove the lower bell return edge to draw them in closer. Reference photo Next up, though not bad the Ab to Kidney gap should be minimal and is something to keep an eye on. Your gap is within acceptable limits though at its max. Your gap will neither effect your EIB or Centurion application. As suggested by your fellow troopers please repaint your side rivet heads . Reference photo Your TD is sitting very high on your waist belt, it should reside roughly at the center/upper section of the belt. Looking at the mounting clips they appear to be a bit small for the TD. Though correctly seated next to the end caps they should also be seated next to the control panel as well. We're suggesting you replace the clips with some that are more accurate in size. Reference photos Moving down to your waist belt, it's sitting a bit low. The upper ammo belt edge should be sitting at or just below the lowest ab button as seen in the reference photos. We're suggesting you raise it a bit. Reference photo Looking at your legs it appears your thighs are sitting a bit low also, not too bad though. Raising and preventing them from sitting on the shin and sniper knee is suggested. Reference photo Lastly the calf cover strip should stop just below the upper return edge. Please trim this down, Refer to the reference photo provided. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We have one area at this time that will need to be resolved before applying for Centurion, if you choose to do so. The drop boxes are to be aligned with the outer most edge of the ammo belt. As suggested by your fellow trooper it's recommended you glue or otherwise permanently fix the drop box connecting strap to the cloth belt to prevent them from moving around. CRL states: Level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. Reference photos That's it, a little bit of work to do but it shouldn't take you too long. Congratulations again on your EI approval. Great job and hope to see you at Centurion. If you have any questions feel free to ask us or anyone here. -

To be clear you're not required to post all the photos for L3 now, it's just the more you do post it helps us prepare you better that's all. Sorry for the misunderstanding. -

Hey Carl, Joseph or myself will be with you shortly. While you're waiting please provide the following photos: Posterior snap exterior Waist belt connections (armor side) Regarding the ab rivets paint, it is required at L3, though we like to see the painted at L2. That said, this will not hold up your EIB application. Something also worth noting, those shooting for L3 have everything ready at L2 then we don't have to mention it -
Huh well that stinks.

Also, when shaping it's better to give things a hot water bath where the heat is spread throughout a larger area instead of concentrated.

Alright, so before we get started we need you to reposition the TD clips. They should be butted against the end caps. The CRL states: Level two certification (if applicable): Thermal detonator belt clips are positioned with little to no gap between the clips and the end caps. Reference photo Thank you -

Hey Daniel we'll be with you shortly. Could you post a link to your EIB page at the top please. Thank you -
There's some difference in the shape but mainly the color scheme that differentiates the two. The TD illustrated on the complete armor photos is incorrect, the TD by itself is correct. Jim in the Philippines - [email protected] Yes, but at this point it will remain at L2

The TFA and TLJ TDs have different color schemes. The CRL (which most GMLs go by) illustrates the correct TD version so it would be safe to say no you can't use the TFA color scheme for TFA basic. That said, I've seen a few troopers take a black cap and cover the left side TFA TD, essentially making the TD look accurate. At basic I'm sure it would fly however, at the higher levels I would expect it to be done correctly. For basic the TLJ cod can be the TFA version however, the requirement changes at L2 CRL - http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_TLJ Hope this helps

acobb202 requesting Pre-approval review (Anovos)
ukswrath replied to acobb202's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
Hey James/Alex looking good brother. If I had any suggestions to add to the above already mentioned it would be to reduce the gap between the bell to back and chest plates. Removing most the lower return edge on the bell should help with this greatly. Lastly, though it probably won't effect basic approval the frown (teeth paint) should go all the way to the gum line. The first generation of Anovos costumes the had over spray, the latest gen doesn't have enough. No fault of yours of course Good luck on your approval -
Willeywonka Requesting Pre-Approval Review (AP)
ukswrath replied to willeywonka's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
Nice work Jameson, looks like you've received some great advice so far. If I were your garrison GML I would definitely require the back to kidney gap to be reduced. I understand you're concerned with the back plate then being too low, maybe you can compromise and bring the ab, kidney and posterior up at the same time bringing the back down. Good luck trooper. -
It is what it is and it's not your fault.

Brien you should request to have this posted in this months newsletter. It needs to be seen by the masses. Wyatt has done many great things for this detachment and the legion. We'll hold the fort until he comes back.
