  1. I've done 12 troops since getting approved and still getting biting and making fitment tweaks. Congratz!
  2. Looking good, trooper! Congratz!
  3. Congratz to you! Don't worry about how long it took you... I got you beat. I ordered mine back in 2005 and finally got mine completed this past June. It's part of your journey. Now the fun begins!! Welcome aboard!
  4. Mine is an FX kit from 2003. So, I probably should have the bottom of my chest piece sitting right at the top of button panel because the chest is oversized compared to current armor kits. I will be donning my armor on Halloween for the Trick-or-treaters. I will hike up the cod piece and play around with it a little bit. Maybe wife can take some more updated pictures as reference. The picture that has the blue and green lines on it is much older than my first ref pic at the top of post. BUT, I noticed a lot of clicking and pinching between thighs and cod/ab during my last 2 troops. So, I know something needs to be adjusted more AND I want to look best that I can. Looking at my signature pic below, There is definitely too much hanging boxes overlapping the thighs. That may be another source of the clanking and highlighting ab and belt are not high enough.
  5. Yes, this is mine. When I did this I was more concerned about the ammo pack laying flat along the thigh. I did not notice that most TKs the ammo belt is has a upward tilt to it. This is evidenced by my picture vs the one you inserted. It is on my list of things to correct for EIB. I am in the process of ordering new thigh ammo belt. The one from my FX kit I haven't really liked that much after reviewing other armor kits.
  6. I am working on how to secure my iphone and speaker while running TrooperTalk. Instead of reinventing the wheel, share your setup here!
  7. Welcome to the legion!
  8. Great looking armor! Welcome!
  9. Awesome picture and welcome aboard!
  10. I had same question. I was given same answer. That they update once a year. Otherwise, it would be a full time job to update every time a new person joined especially at the scale of people joining in recent years. I was told not to worry until March. As long as you fill out the Census for 501st and are using the same email for 501st and FISD, then you should be good. I am not sure how you found out, but I saw this when I was filling out the census. So, if you did the stuff above, you should be good. Best Regards, Michael Rose
  11. Congratz to you, Brien!
  12. Prayers for you and your family. I hope things continue to improve. Best Regards, Michael Rose TK-12037
  13. Any updates on your progress? Interested in seeing what you come up with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Where is it opened up? I don’t see it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I just saw your build thread. It has inspired me to go all out on the one just bought. Can I ask what you used for tk the blaster counter? I got the screws out of mine, but they must super heat them together because it did not come apart easy. I am going to try to capture every step of my build. I might be back for more questions. Again, great job. Oh, what did you use on your scope. What is the red thing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. What did you end up doing about boots? Did you find something that works for you? I am looking to go for EIB and want a boot that I know will fit. I wear a 10W and Imperial Boot suggestion is to order an 11. I am worried it will look to long for my frame and build. I'd appreciate to hear what you decided doing and how happy you were with your decision.
  17. Blasters are not required for basic approval. Here is direct quote from CRL, "Blasters are not required for legion membership per our weapons policy." I did not realize how old this post was. Sorry.
  18. Awesome job! Welcome aboard.
  19. Yes, lots of good information preseneted here. One thing you may want to consider is the thickness of some kits. I tend to bump into things and can be clumsy sometimes. I went with a kit that was a little thicker material. the advantage of thinner is kit is that can get a little bit more detail on tight corners and curves, but I have a couple friend who have to fix with reinforcements on the back side to repair the thinner kits. I also like the feel o heavier material as it mimics weight and movement. To each their own. Michael Rose TK-12037 Great Lakes Garrison
  20. Definitely before. Also, I would not paint it. I would use the blackflex seal. That is just me and what I did.
  21. Welcome, Jonathan. I read that you said you have a helmet. Do you know who made the helmet? I do not want to discourage you, but if it is not from one of the vetted vendors, it may be difficult to get approved with that helmet. I have an older armor kit and the helmet that came with mine had to be replaced by an updated helmet because of inaccuracies. Again, I do not want to discourage you on your journey. I want to make sure that you understand as everyone is saying this is not a cheap hobby and getting something that is not from an approved vendor may be possible, but it will be scrutinized much more than vetted vendor. Good luck. We are all here to help with questions.
  22. Welcome! I am working on the EIB thing too.
  23. FYI, update. Imperial Warfighters is back up and running as of AUG 1. I was looking at E-11 stuff and went to his facebook page where he posted he is taking orders again. Thought I would share.
