  1. Sorry, i realize the picture wasn't showing. Here are the marks for the shoulders to cut off the excess.
  2. That is completely normal. Vision is definitely an issue for troopers. Movement is restricted quite a bit, and unfortunately that is one of the issues you will be having.
  3. Get contacts! No space for eyewear inside the helmet.
  4. Christine, i see what you mean about the shoulders touching. Since there will be an elastic strap and the ABS shoulder straps, there is no need to keep a lot of the current excess plastic. Cut some off so that you can create the correct look. I marked where you can cut off so that it will not be touching. That way the shoulder straps will be that actual connection points. Hope that helps.
  5. don't mind the shoulder. You have to cut most of that. Either way it will be covered by the actual elastic straps and the actual plastic shoulder straps (that create the connected look). Once you put the elastic they will look aligned.
  6. Superglue or any type of CA Glue. that way you don't get that "gunky" mess lol
  7. Looking good, it seems like you are right on track!
  8. I think it is pretty much a right of passage to geek out the first time you wear it. Although i gotta say, it does feel pretty damn good every single time i suit up. Anyway, share some pics of the progress. I know you have an official reveal, but don't keep us waiting lol...
  9. Brian already mentioned it above. The armor does not need to be painted white. Not to say you can't do it, but the ABS and HIPS plastics that is used to make these armors are already made to mimic the screen used "white" color. Therefore there is no need to paint everything white. Just the details (i.e. bucket details mentioned above and the buttons on the abdomen) Good Luck Trooper!
  10. Looks like you are on the right track. Nice job
  11. Beautiful Armor! You're still missing an Action Shot, and a clear shot of the D-Ring on your blaster. Once small critique (and I'm not sure if it will affect your Centurion Certification) but the inside and the outside tip of the mic tips should be white. Again, great Job! Should be an extremely easy approval!
  12. Great job with both the TD and the bucket. Yes, it is always difficult to paint everything "perfect" when doing it by hand, but it will not affect centurion standards. At the end of the day they were all painted quick and by hand in the original trilogy so if you look closely you see the imperfections. Most people won't even notice. you can always use the painters tape to create the outlines you need (if you look at my bucket build you will see what i mean) in order to get those outlines straight. Overall though, you did a nice job. Also, as far as the stripes, you can always order the masking templates from trooperbay. They work perfectly. Good Luck
  13. Looks amazing, can't wait to see this completed...
  14. I personally love the burst. It really makes it more "realistic" there are definitely alternatives out there and different ways you can get voice modulators and amplifiers installed and set up. Personally i have the Aker Amp with the wired mic and connected to my iPhone where i use a voice modulator (TKVoice or TrooperTalk). Both of them change your voice while still providing the burst feature and modulation, etc... however, troopertalk does have the chatter (which i am not a fan of) Again, completely up to you. I am going to buy a wireless mic, but shouldn't change the audio sound.
  15. There are very few people that are that "sensitive." take your blaster everywhere. if there is an issue with the event as far as blasters go, they will definitely notify you ahead of time. Just be mindful, but for the most part its part of the fun and experience for the kids and fans. Go be a trooper. As a soldier it only makes sense to walk around with your weapon (just make sure it has its safety on, or set to stun at least lol )
  16. Glad i could help. Ideally what you can do to make it perfect to fix would be to use ABS paste to create an internal strips that connects both pieces together (similar to a clone). then use the standard 30 mm strip to go over the middle. So the space would be there, but the strip is the correct size. Again, for Expert Infantry you are fine, it just depends if you want to go to Centurion level. But there are always different routes you can take.
  17. i understand your pain. Keep in mind that online they also do not use E6000 so the curing takes seconds.
  18. if your talking about easier its definitely painting separate. That way you get even and clear coverage. thats how i did it at least.
