Nice!!!!!! Im looking into getting the plans drawn up and programmed for a cnc! My skills are clearly NO match for yours!

What I did to remedy my shoulder bells was i made a shorter white elastic strap to connect the chest and back pieces together. That way theres less sag when the shoulder bells are attached. As for the ab and kidney, i too am considering a nylon/elastic combo to remedy the gap that I have. I was thinking of doing nylon on the bottoms, and elastic on the top(for flexibility). You could always just make some nylon straps and mess around with placement and go from there. Another fix could be to use a large strip of ribbed elastic, or just double over(fold a strap) the elastic straps to create more tension. Looking good though trooper!

Maybe trim it to match the left?

Thanks Carl! Im shooting for January/February for a Centurion application! That just depends how the holidays work out! Gotta make some people smile with some trooping in the mean time! Thats honestly THE best part of being a Stormtrooper, EVERYONE knows what you are and it definitely "whitens" the mood

Im still up in the air about the Icomm, looking at replacing the chest and back pieces of the armor before going that route. Unless a good deal on a helmet or a e-11 pipe build come up lol. -

Awesome! And congrats on the armor! Just ordered my Aker 1506 and PTT cable! Now I am stuck debating whether I should replace the chest and back first, get a different makers helmet(ATA, MTK, or AP), or get a pipe build E-11 kit. See! Your never truly done! -
I know of one, but he won't be joining FISD or the 501st. Sadly i am at the mercy of a plain jane laptop :/

Excellent! Thank you Steve! I do fully intend to make those upgrades, its just a matter of time. I have a good lead on a chest amd back piece, and have been eyeballing a pipe build kit. Im literally a click away from purchasing accurate handplates as well! I also will be replacing my helmet when funds are available, and will try my hand at handpainting the details, thanks to your fantastic ATA helmet build Steve! It is much easier to build an armor with Centurion in mind, instrad of having to go back and readjust! I would like to thank all parties involved in helping me get to this point merely a week out of getting basic approval! THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH! But most of all, my wife has to get the biggest kudos on this for putting up with a rather messy armor build She has now informed me that she herself would like to put together a costume and join the 501st. I have been lobbying for a Femme Trooper, but she is being quite resistant due to the total time of building LOL.

It is a process, and no matter how much research you've done, you will always learn something new. I had FISD pulled up for most of my build, mainly for all the subscribed threads I used as references. Best thing I could tell anyone, is don't let the armor overwhelm you. Most mistakes are fixable, but its best to go at a steady pace. This was my first armor build, but it most certainly won't be my last! -

Is it done yet? -
Looking good Rick! You may want to reshape the tail end of your butt plate. Not that Im checking you out! Just the tail sticks out a bit like mine did. I had a snap fail at a photo shoot last night on my ammo belt. Im now in the process of installing the other plastic belt that came with the kit. Should be done soon

Just get a 100 pack of snaps off evilbay

That is the correct placement of the kidney and butt plate. Just think of how your back has that slight curve at the bottom . What I did for the shins and thighs, was cut all te excess off from the front EXCEPT for 10 mm on each side. That way, when you join the fronts, a 20 mm coverstrip covers it perfectly, therefore being screen accurate. Get those glued, and then you can begin fitting your shins and thighs using the back.

Thanks! The anticipation has me checking back more often than normal lol! I am still working on closing the side gap on my right side. Might add another snap or two to try to close the gap. Ill be getting the other plastic ammo belt trimmed up after the weekends over. Between trooping and catching up on some quality family time, I haven't had a ton of time to mess with it just yet. But it WILL be done! I just needed a mental break
