  1. Need to mix the Humbrol paints very very thoroughly and go thin coat each time. I have painted about 10 maybe more helmets using stencils and the same paint with varying effects. As already suggested, white paint first then add a coat of the blue. It has less chance of bleeds and is easier to clean up. Also make sure the surface you are about to paint on has been cleaned well with Isoprol cleaning alcohol so the paint has the best chance to cure to the surface. Don't worry Rod, you will get there, and it will look fantastic even with a few brush stroke marks.
  2. Att all troopers You may notice a few things slightly different with the forums. Things like buttons relocated, minor colour changes and the fact Tapatalk is not working properly at the moment. This is all because of a few minor upgrades currently taking place and the fact the server is busy so it will take a little time for things to settle down. Yes this will take time but your patience is truly appreciated. I shall bring you another update later on today/night depending on your time zone.

  7. Keep em coming troopers, this is an awesome effort and the most momentum we have had for those aiming for Centurion in a long time. We got this FISD!
  8. Welcome to FISD Sebastian! I look forward to seeing your photos once the RS suit arrives and welcoming you to legion once you are approved. Your GML Daniel, will be your go to man for that application, he is very good and also was a Deployment officer here, so can certainly make sure you are ready to go for the higher levels of approval done here on FISD. Once again, welcome.
  9. Best of luck to you in the future Adam, stay safe and well sir.
  10. Any time
  11. You are most welcome.
  12. Refer to my response in your other post Eric
  13. RS is molded from an original set of armour so is accurate in size and dimension. In saying that, the average size of the actors in ANH was between 5'9" - 6 foot tall. Sizing is important so you look righ, in which case you may find the limb pieces a touch on the short side for you (maybe). In a situation where height is concerned i certainly would not look at a commission build, you really need to size each part against your self. There are other armour kits out there that are more suitable for taller more robust troopers so not just height but your body type/build also do come into play. AM suits larger troopers. RT-Mod has longer arm and leg length options for taller troopers as well. So it's more about finding the right armour for you overall, not necessarily the maker you want. End of the day, you can make any kit fit within reason, it also depends on your aspirations. We have basic level, plus 2 additional detachment driven levels for accuracy, Expert Infantry and Centurion. EI is relatively easy to achieve, Centurion is some pretty fine detail, and how the armour really fits you for an overall appearance. Check out our vendors list and reach out to a few of the makers. Also check out some of our build threads. Good luck with your journey Eric and welcome to FISD
  14. Definitely a 5 post benchmark before you can add any kind of sales thread. You only need to make 3 more posts and you are there.
