Like! Will be interesting to see who gets there first.

Let's go with D please. FISD's colors are: black, white, infantry blue, and gold. US Army: Black & Gold US Infantry: Infantry Blue Star Wars Stormtroopers: Black & White, plus blue details on tube stripes, etc. So they all tie together.
-
You are right. Let's cap at 15 which at least gets us to 2021 at the earliest. EDIT (darn laptop): For 16+, use a best judgment for now on color to take us past 15 years, and when we get to 2022 if we don't like it we can revisit it then.
-
Or, this? It will take us to 2026, at the earliest. 1 - no stars 2 - 1 bronze 3 - 2 bronze 4 - 3 bronze 5 - 1 silver 6 - 1 silver, 1 bronze 7 - 1 silver, 2 bronze 8 - 1 silver, 3 bronze 9 - 2 silver 10 - 1 gold 11 - 1 gold, 1 bronze 12 - 1 gold, 2 bronze 13 - 1 gold, 3 bronze 14 - 2 gold, 1 silver 15 - 3 gold 16 - 3 gold, 1 bronze 17 - 3 gold, 2 bronze 18 - 3 gold, 3 bronze 19 - 3 gold, 4 bronze 19 - 3 gold, 1 sliver 20 - 4 gold For EI, your ascii would work. Unless we ever have > 15 costumes, we should be good.

I think capping at 20 is a fair thing to make a limit too. For the ribbons, we can use a 4th color to get to 20. Or, how about a different ribbon for 10 years of service? This way we only have to go to 10 on the regular one. Also, I can't conceive that anyone would get more than 10 AAMs - right now there are only a few people with 2, and none with 3.
-
Ouch - thanks for sharing. Not sure if anyone knows, but Joey has for many years been the sole members of the Bolivian Outpost, and was one of the first EI approvals. And, the first and last to get approved with an FX helmet (it was removed from EI shortly after). I've met him at 2 Celebrations - one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I am very sorry for his country - that's sad news. I hope it will change some day.

Short: I love the star concept on the EIB For service ribbons (not sure if you want to update that one too), for the stars I'm not overly keen on the double row. Maybe we just mix/match colors like the guide you posted had. That would get us to 26 or so, right?
-
Hey Brien - can we break out the skin updates separately? I think that may be a place where can chat about themes, maybe a "part 2". I'd like to get the badges done in one thread so after posting it can archive and we can then tackle the other design elements next.

If assembled correctly, the ANOVOS OT helmet is fine. Where are you seeing information otherwise?

FYI that my goal is to move these new graphics live this weekend, so if there are any feedback, this is the week to do it.

March 2018 Request for CRL Updates thread

FYI, changes have been pulled in from the previous thread, now locked. -
Holy smokes! It's awesome!! You could run a side business doing these for others ;-)

March 2018 Request for CRL Updates thread
Daetrin replied to Daetrin's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Doh! We need to combine them. No need to have it in detachment only - open boards (here) are best so there are no surprises. Will get to it tonight unless another staff beats me to it. -
OK, I'm trying to centralize CRL change requests, as I'm aiming to update some items this month. There have been a lot so I'm sure I'm missing some. This will be the one place to suggest and discuss CRL changes that I'll process in March. After that the goal is to leave them alone for a bit. April's thread is here: OT TKs [Done] Addressed ambiguity of overlap method of limb construction. Overlap is now OK if the suit comes with the cover strip molded to the armor. [Done] Clarified correct crews for L2/L3 [Done] Clarified screw definition on thermal detonator for L2/L3 [Done] Added "v1" for the note of AM is no longer allowed on some parts, as AMv2 is OK [Done] Clarified thigh rivets for L3 to be single cap/rapid rivets [Done] Minimal gap now required between shoulder bells and shoulder strap at L3 [Done] Rubies blaster conversions not allowed at L3 ANH (Both) [Done] Clarified L3 space pack requirements to L2 (as only one person makes the packs) [Done] Shoulder strap back tabs no longer required ANH Hero [Done] Add promo holster for ANH Hero ESB [Done] Shoulder strap back tabs no longer required Rogue One [Done] Fixed back plate description to be correct for L1 [Done] Added frown mesh as a requirement for L1 [Done] Indicated that helmet tube stripes can be backed by blue mesh for L1 [Done] Velcro for forearms, biceps, and thighs required for L3 [Done] Update baton CRL to have a better description Legacy Era * Boots - make it simpler for L1 approval Reference threads https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox/1620e3ab3d82bfeb?projector=1

Awesome photo! You should get this in the newsletter.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha You don't know my wife. She's take my lovely Centurion suit, my ATA #1 helmet, my double-signature Paradise edition TE2 TD helmet, every coin, every patch, and throw it all in the rubbish bin if she could. No way that stuff will ever get displayed anywhere in the house. Not even in my man cave. I have the Celebration Orlando poster on my office wall, and that's pushing things.
-
I must have at least $1000 of merch in that bin.
-
Here is what 10 years of coin collecting looks like. Realize that for FISD coins at least, I usually have 4. Two for me, 2 for the archives. I also tend to buy a lot of FISD coins as I mail them out as "thank-yous" and "atta-boys", being the founder and what-not. Plus coins from other detachments I used to be heavily involved with in the past (MEPD, IOC, CTN) and coins people just send me. Then your patch collection starts looking like this: For the same reason. Sooner or later your wife makes you put it all in a bin under the stairs.
-
No apologies needed. Nothing is final yet, and everyone should always feel free to share opinions. Else what's the point of having a discussion board?
-
Actually having been in the military, I still like the new designs. Once the items are complete, I'll go with it.
-
Actually I'm thinking perhaps it should be the FISD blue. I think it would make a nicer patch.

CRL change regarding overlap construction?
Daetrin replied to bobafret's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
FWIW, this is in the queue to be fixed. It's been a bit busy what with elections and all. I'm still getting caught up. -
I have over 100. Yes, it's really sad.
-
Nice concept! I'd like to keep the stars on the top if I could, but otherwise the update is awesome. One cog is nice if it can be fit in?
