Hey guys, FYI I posted an analog of the Stealth TK and what an EIB version of that would look like in the respective CRL/EIB areas of FISD. I'd like to make it CRYSTAL CLEAR that FISD does NOT own this costume and it's covered by SpecOps. It was done mainly to provide a convenient analog and also a non-binding EIB, as we have some Stealth Troopers here now looking for an analog to that program. Comments are welcome in case I got something wrong - enjoy -- end transmission

NOTES: 1. The CRL for the Stealth Trooper is owned by the Spec Ops detachment. It is re-created here as a recommendation only for consistency with the other TK costumes owned by FISD. For the official Stealth Trooper CRL, please visit http://s11.zetaboards.com/501st_Spec_Ops_Det/topic/141918/6/ 2. There is currently no equivalent of the EIB for this costume on SpecOps, so this is posted as a courtesy for those looking to take their costume to the next level in a similar fashion. To quality for Stealth Trooper EIB recognition, a trooper will... MUST HAVE * Comply with ALL EIB ANH Stunt Requirements Armor * All hard armor parts must be gloss black instead of gloss white * Ab plate buttons must be all black * Belt must be black instead of white * Boots must be black instead of white * O2 cylinder, drop boxes, and holster must be removed when a BFG and ammo pouches are worn Helmet * Tube stripes must be black or dark navy blue instead of ANH blue Blaster * If an E-11 must conform to EIB - ANH, ESB, or ROTJ Standards * If an MG-34 is used, it must be converted to a DLT-19 * If a Lewis gun is used, it must have a ribbed barrel and carrying strap SHOULD HAVE Armor * Comply with ALL EIB - ANH Stunt Should Have Requirements MAY HAVE Armor * Holster may be attached via ESB style instead of ANH style * Ammo Pouches : Black leather or leather-like German MP-40 style ammo pouches. There must be two minimum : one pouch on the left shoulder and one on the right hip. If a third is worn it will be in lieu of a holster on the hip. * Black macrobinoculars * Black comlink may be worn on the belt Helmet * Traps and tears may be black instead of gray * Frown may be silver or black instead of gray * Vocodor may be silver instead of black * Three teeth cut out per side instead of four are allowed * Lenses may be black, smoke, or silver instead of dark green * Bubble lenses instead of flat are allowed Blaster * DLT-19 * T-21 * MG-15 * MG-42

FYI I had some free time and finally got around to updating the CRL & EIB for this costume to: 1) Remove the MEPD references to the pack (copy/paste clean up) 2) Update the standards to reflect the screen caps, e.g. # of pouches, lack of drop boxes, BFG info, etc. Please lmk if there is something I missed or needs correcting. Right now it's easy to update as we have no HWT in the 501st nor EIB, but I know at least two or three are close to getting there, and once we have them we'll follow the regular process to enact changes.

I'd suggest starting a new one, but either would be fine.

Hi Filippo - hope you don't mind I commandeered your thread to be the general one for new year best wishes I'd like to wish each and every trooper a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year for 2010. The 501st and FISD are like my extended family and I hope to visit even more of you next year. We all benefit when we work together, whether it's raising money for charity, putting smiles on kids faces, or just enjoying the fellowship of the white armor with like minded folk. Enjoy the celebration everyone! ePS: Pezza, you look awesome

Dark_GTI04's ATA build[*ATA]
Daetrin replied to DarkTrooper's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Wow, this has been a sleeper thread for me and I'm just reading it now. Kevin had a cool solution for the thighs - I'd say what ever you do won't really affect 501st or EIB that much - we have a long way to go before standards get that nit picky.ou This is a great build; man you guys are way ahead of where me & my mates were starting out in 2005. -
It depends on what you want, and how much you want to spend. Cushman are vac-formed and will take some work to get in to shape. They look good from 5'+ away and are super light - my Cushman Lewis gun is always asked for when we have parades. However the detail will never be as sharp as say a Hyperfirm or a Woodchuck. Hyperfirms are popular as there's nothing to do with them and they take a beating. Blasters and BFG's are easy weight wise. Downside is that the barrel holes aren't bored out and they used to be very pricey, but prices have really come down and the detail gets better all the time. One other downside is that the BFG's don't break down to parts, but in some ways this is a plus. Woodchuck is relatively new but has made a great name for himself. The weapons are beautifully detailed, don't weigh too much, and are well priced. Resin blasters are hit or miss. They can be wonderfully detailed but also so brittle you can't troop with them at all, depending on make. Prices are all over the board too. Be very careful if you go this route. Scratch built is always a good option if you have some excellent skills and lots of time, but not everyone does. Hasbro is the old standby but take some work to get looking good. In the end it's not always worth the $$ to upgrade, but on the plus they do make a cool sound, whereas others to not. Betcha biscuits to gravy that Billy Haggis has some good words in this department as well ;-)

FYI this is now updated with the latest items.

My cod is not cut. I just loosen the belt and drop one of the thighs to give me "room", then reach under as needed. Works so far

For myself, I'm still using UnderArmor two piece. I have a set of normal gear and a set of cold gear.

Like Brian, I suspect a good spotter is a better way to go. -
Wow - not much to add to what Tom says, but yeah stay away.

Welcome Stealth Troopers and people who love them!
Daetrin replied to Daetrin's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Gary - there is a SpecOps detachment that covers this costume, but we've gotten enough traffic on Stealth Troopers that I created a section. I'm ambivalent either way about EIB. Technically that's something SpecOps should do, but if they are not we could recognize them if we choose. I'd like to hear more opinions on the subject before doing anything. Bill - you certainly got a great costume there, and my hat's off for a job well done -

We could I suppose though not officially. I'd like to see what people think an EIB Stealth Trooper would look like. Ideally I'd love to see some more Stealth Trooper build threads, etc. here as well. Gotta give you guys a reason to come here repeatedly ;-) -

TK-2618 requesting EIB ESB status.[92][FX]
Daetrin replied to Debater2nd's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
For acceptance the DLT-19 is not part of the ESB trooper. What you do with your costume though in trooping is up to you This is just like MEPD where you need full kit to get deployed, but in honesty not everyone troops 100% full kit each time. -
I don't need a decal, but do want to wish you a Merry X-Mas Mike
-
Wow - these are great accessories Joey! I can't wait to see you in full kit. Brian - keep at it man - you would be the first HWT EIB!
-
A very merry Christmas to my other family, the members of the FISD, and their families in turn. To Joey : Feliz Navidad, mi amigo
