  1. Truer words have not been spoken! Not only could that area be for beefier bodies, I have two reasons not to have the armor smoosh right up against my body I have two pieces of canvas fabric in the gap now, but I like the idea of a cheep, garbage can- might give that a go. Cheers!
  2. Great pics! So funny to see the "real" TK's looking like us
  3. PM sent with a question
  4. "I see" says the blind woman! Good luck to your wife in her race. Margaret

  8. Great tutorial! LOVED the kitties in the pics- I'm sure they were VERY helpful during the project
  9. That's the problem I am having, I have an FX bucket and the cheap helmet bag I bought is too small but I needed something to protect my bucket. Does anyone have any idea where I could get a good helmet bag? Thanks TKs
  10. If y'all hear of anything being offered..... quick answer would be "yes, please" B)
  11. SWEET bags!!!!! Me jealous!
  12. I'm happy with my Caboots. The only thing I have added is more arch support b/c I found the sides of the boots to be somewhat "stretchie" and not that supportive. Otherwise they are a very cool 70's retro look
  13. Have a GREAT time guys! Can't wait to see ya'll on TV!!!!! SOOOOOO exciting!
  14. Looks great, V'Pier! At first glance- I thought that Vader was putting the TK bucket on the top of the tree and I thought "Did I do something to displease him". Hee hee!
  15. Thanks for listing all of the resources. If I ever save up enough, maybe I'll venture into another costume- but for now I'm very happy being a shinny TK
  16. Wow!!! What thoughtful, eloquent responses. I don't think I will be able to compare. At any rate, what makes me tick? I do try to live my life as openly and honestly as possible, I try to be a good friend and family member and I try to take life's mishaps in stride. I firmly believe that my parents and wonderfully supportive family helped to shape me into the person I am today- and I believe they would be proud of that fact. For a living, I am a teacher (elementary Physical Education). Went to college and obtained a degree in Biology, worked for a while in research and HATED being trapped in a lab for hours at a time. Floundered around for a bit, not knowing what to do with my life so I got a job at my nephew's daycare center. Found out I had a knack for working with kids and when back to school for a teaching degree and went directly to grad school for Exercise and Sport Science. I have been working as a teacher for 8 years! Boy does time FLY! I am not married but would live to meet the right woman (as stated above, open and honest life). I have had several relationships, 2 long term but nothing panned out yet. Sure hope I will meet someone who understands this obsession-with-Star-Wars-thing! I have two "shelter kitties" who are like my kids- too bad I can get them to help around the house 1977 was a big year and I have been in love with the Star Wars galaxy every since. I also have become a fan of the Food Channel but and even BIGGER fan of HGTV. "This Old House" and "Ask This Old House" are the best shows on television, I think. My mom's house has been my home improvement project for the last 4 years- it's been fun learning how to refinish floors, put in recessed lights, landscaping, painting etc. I don't think I'll be running out of projects any time soon! Great to hear about other TK's and what they do outside of Trooping. Looking forward to meeting folks at CIV.
  17. Noticed it last night. VERY cool and Imperial!
  18. Carlos! Thanks so much, I got it to work. TK TGaines- I'll forward you the PM that helped me out.
  19. ARGH!!!!!!!!! I am not seeing how to add the banner. Either on Whitearmor.net or on the 501st. ARGH!!!!! Wish I had kept up-to-date with computer skills. Can anyone help? THanks- Margaret
  20. Nice helmets- cool way they are all displayed so that people can see them often. THanks for being bored and sharing!
  21. "Dunna nanna nanna na-na..... you say it's your birthday day...." I won't go any further! Hope you had a happy one- any b-day that involves armor and AT-AT walkers has GOT to be good
  22. Two words: Celebration III. I had never been to a Sci-Fi convention before and was blown away in Indy. I felt like I was "in" Star Wars- seeing TK's, Bobas, Vaders walk around. I wanted in! And then to find out that the 501st does charity work- so cool!
