  4. Freakin' sweet! Your cat looks like he *hates* it ;-) My cats are totally jealous!
  5. Paul- you rock, man. THanks for all of the work that you do for the FISD. Now, as far as your "real" job goes, Lord Vader said that you can take the day to work on armor. Hey, ya gotta follow those orders ;-)
  6. Just went on his Star Fortress site- the stuff is SOOOOO expensive. Like $420 for a Sandtrooper backpack? Plus $125 to ship? Outrageous! The fast that it is way over priced, but then to find out he cut and ran from charges of being a pedophile? Stay clear!
  7. I am going to be tuning into this thread VERY closely- been think of doing something like this for a while. Any pics you can post would be greatly appreciated
  8. Woah- that is one dedicated fan. Not sure I would do the same.... but I am a huge, HUGE Star Wars chick so, maybe I WOULD do something like that ;-)
  9. That's probably the coolest thing about The Phantom Menace!

  16. That is Hi-larious! Any chance of ladies panties
  17. Scott- Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking and sending well wishes to your wife. Hope that she has a FULL and speedy recovery. May the Force be with you all. Margaret TK-7142
  18. I've seen it twice already- both trooping events, so that was cool. I liked it, quite a bit, actually. The opening drove me crazy as did some of the dialogue ,"Sky-guy" anyone? I though some of the humor was great, the Jawas and the Battle droids, in particular. I liked the other animation series, in some ways, better but both are still part of the SW mythology so I HAVE to like all of it ;-) Would love it if the live-action TV show is something along the lines of BSG- that would KICK a very impolite person!
  19. That looks sweet! I can almost hear you saying "These aren't the droids we're looking for" ;-)
  20. Similar plans. My great-Uncle Louie is turning 90. God bless! Hope I live that long. He is in EXCELLENT health- nothing wrong with him and his mind is a sharp as a tack. Like I said, GOD BLESS! Next weekend: working on finishing up my TS
  21. 1) How long have you been a fan of Star Wars? I have been a fan from the first moment of ANH. It is a love affair that is 31 years and still going strong! 2) What first made you a fan of the franchise? I loved the toys- it just brought home the experience of seeing the movies again and again. We didn't have a whole bunch of money, so I basically coveted the merchandise in the stores when I was little but was lucky enough to get a few toys when I was a kid. 3) What got you into costuming? I went to Celebration III, on a whim, and that is when I was introduced to this "beast" called costuming. Again, it brought the Star Wars experience to life for me. When I left Indiana, I was searching the airport for Stormtroopers or Boba Fett or Darth Vader ;-) It was all just so impressive. I then had a Star Wars b-day party and was able to convince a few local NEG members to attend my party in costume and they just sucked me right in! It was all over then! 4) What function does the Internet play in being a fan? It is a great way to get info, to coordinate events, and to make personal connections with other crazy, I mean passionate, fans ;-)
  22. I was just down at Disney for the opening weekend of SWW, and I would bet that's one of the Disney made TKs. We were all looking at them closely when they were wandering the park- their helm looked just like the one in the pic. Also, those were the only TKs who were allowed to mingle with the crowds , hence the autograph signing.
  23. Last night I was at my best friend's house for dinner. She has 3 kids, ages 6,4 and 1. The 6 yr old remembered coming over to my house and seeing my SW collection a while back and had a million questions about the key chains on my ring. I suggested that maybe they would like to see Star Wars someday- they immediately said "tonight!!!!!". I asked my friend if she would "mind" that the brainwashing would be starting- she was fine, even with the 4 year old watching. It was SOOOOO much fun! I am a firm believer in ANH being watched first and all was confirmed when the two kids cuddled up to me, awestruck, when the opening crawl ended with the Star Destroyer filling the screen. Magic!!!!
