  1. Your ok bud, the ear coms will cover and take up the difference, check a couple build threads. You are ok with what you have. Just line up the traps with the edge of the eyes, and I drill my hole in the outer top cap first in the mould center mark. Magnets or clamps can help hold the pieces to get her so you can mark throughout the top hole down to the face plate, the separate and drill bottom holes, so the bit. Doesn't walk around and Waller out the holes. Then bolt or rivet. Pivot the cap to get your desired brow height and fasten at the bottom edge where cap and face plate meet. Making sure to keep it in a place where it will be covered by the ear coms. I always fit all this with the brow trim in as you have. Try to keep the cap and face plate tight together. Take your time. You got this.
  2. Is Hyper-Firm DLT-19 Centurion Approvable ?
  3. Dominick, nice work bro, as far as your cover strips, how about adding shims and spacers on top of the shims from ABS or HIPS filling gapswith bondo, sanding, painting, then adding the right size strips, alot of work, but then you can cross that off the Centurion check list... See I told you I was kidding about busting your balls... Congratulations man...
  4. Dude that Concept TD is going to be sick.
  5. Yeah, it is crazy how far some of them take these things... This armor, although it is pretty thick abs, that feels nice to work with, we will see how it holds up over time. Recasted, meh, this will be fun to do to this kit. Lol.
  6. I have a nice layout of the individual pieces at the beginning of the thread, do you think this is an FX kit, sold from JR?
  7. I thought it was cool, tells a story anyway. I bought the kit from Jedi Robe, they are out of England , I thought the coin looked Canadian as I like to collect foreign money.antway, do you guys think this "recast" kit came from Canada , then went to the UK? I heard TM also uses a coin for some of his moulds. Maybe it was the TD buttons on the AB.
  8. , You can tell, a fresh coin was used on the mould, as I would think a recast would not be so defined. Do you think they added a coin to the form, to keep the shape?
  9. TrooperMaster, search his name. I think the veterans want us newbies to do our homework. There are really no secrets though. TM does get really busy, and sometimes it takes a few days to respond. As for a link, I am on my IPad and these things don't copy links so well, I can try. Also, go to the TrooperBay website, he has lot of needed items. He can usually get what you need pretty quick. TM is just closer to your side of the globe. I will still look around for you brother. Take Care
  10. Yes sir, I think Troopermaster can provide them, as well as TrooperBay. You could try RS, but I believe TM said he can provide them. The more I work on my Jedi Robe, which is supposed to be recast from FX, which is recast from another source, I can't help but to still appreciate the work that was put into the kit. It's a shame with a little more work it could be better. Although its no RS or TM, it's still a stormtrooper. I still like my kit, just not as much as I like my others... Good luck sir...
  11. Cool man, I am getting ready to trick out a shadow trooper, metal mulisha style. Your is cooler, because you are building it for a good cause.
  12. I believe you would want to cut off any excess at the wrist, and maintain the detail at the elbow. Fantastic work Diana, you guys have really come a long way. Almost there, just a bit further. The anticipation must be killing you....
  13. Yeah, looks like they trimmed it properly at the butt plate. I have read it should be lower than the line on the back, so looks ok. You may want to add a return edge to install brackets and hardware, or use snaps with snap plates and strapping. As far as the ab plate, if you wanted to have it EIB approvable , you will need to cut out the plates and install new plates I believe. A lot of work, but doable. So you may not need a whole new ab section, just the button plates, and a little work. The cod section is nice to be able to remove to use the rest room. Good luck bud..
  14. Check this out, on the JR belt, you can see the coin with Queen Elizabeth to make the center button. Kinda cool. Does anyone else's projects turn into complete and utter pandemonium? Working on all sides of my table...
  15. Anyone have any input to the amount of paint needed to paint the lid details?
  16. So I started the strapping, made snap plates from this sign. Made my straps out of elastic for a bit of mobility. Almost ready to add the infection, getting close.
  17. Yes these are awesome, I have one from SkyMiner, he built it and shipped it to me. Very useful electronic.
  18. Nice kit, fun project. Good luck and enjoy.
  19. The ab buttons should be ok for basic approval, otherwise you can get an ab plate with buttons from a vendor, then simply install on your kit. If your going with ROTJ, you can keep the one piece butt and kidney plate. Thermal Det should be ok with the com-pad just check the dimensions of the pipe itself, length and diameter. I'm modifying my Jedi Robe kit to a death trooper, but I am upgrading all the strapping and assembling properly. Similar to what you will need to do. Good luck.
