  1. Is it just me , or does everyone love the smell of ABS and release agents in the morning, or any time of day for that matter...???
  2. So did you get that three piece bucket straight? Didn't look too bad on your last picture.
  3. Nice work Caleb. Really digging the drop boxes. I am a firm believer in no wasted space.
  4. I purchased it in October, do you think they would still take it back? It still looks cool in my office...but not as cool as my RS TD , or my ESB TK from TM will look... Anxiously awaiting TM, think I will send him another message. RS contacted me, they are done with the build, weathering now , and assembling back pack.... Man o man..., in the meantime I have been building a Kev series season 4 clone grunt shock trooper. Pretty cool, keeps me busy , and my mind of the other builders... Until I get on here, lol...
  5. How about like a probe droid mounted off your back, kinda like the cantina TD action figure?
  6. kwdesigns2@verizon.net His Name is Kevin, Imperial Surplus is his website. awesome armour.
  7. Right , all I saw was 501 , trust us, the most accurate armor available., total B.S. I purchased the armour then went to the 501 sites, totally the wrong order. All I can do is learn from the situation and modify the armour. I sent them an email the other day, asked , what type of plastic are you using for your armour? They replied with, " our manufacturer will not disclose the actual material used " like its a secret or something, I then asked , what is actually reduced with the reduced size armour, they responded with , " calfs , shins and forearms." Lesson learned. Still awaiting my slot with TM....
  8. You got this bud, looking nice. I like those hand guard straps too. You'll be trooping in no time.
  9. Looking sharp Soren, your Jawa is spot on as well. Going to turn my little guy into one of those creatures also. Thank you for your pointers.
  10. Honestly, in a lot of cases, "things" tend to be over built. If Troopermaster says it is not necessary , I would go with that. His Expert Armourer badge says a lot. It does make sense from a maintenance standpoint not to install inside cover strips, in case repairs are needed. As Paul stated.
  11. Maybe if you were bouncing around on the Death Star, or getting tossed about in Cloud City's Carbon Freezing Chamber by Chewbacca , you may need the inner cover strips...lol. It does sound like it would strengthen them up a bit.
  12. I trust Paul, he seems to be 100% legit. He will be assembling my armour, and I am totally looking forward to it. Anxiously awaiting. As for the belt coming loose, I bet it was like Paul said , the holes were too big, or the curve was not accounted for. Neither here nor there, I'd did sound like an easy fix.
  13. The first night I had my JR kit, it was Halloween, the wife stuffed me in the car, that was very difficult trying to be careful, luckily nothing broke, very uncomfortable though. After the family drug me out to dinner, needless to say, two minutes at the restaurant , I was down to my under suit...lol. Good thing the owner of the restaurant is a personal friend, he got a heck of a kick out of it. Sitting is not easy. I will surly be more carful in the future...
  14. Funny, I just lean against the recliner , then ask for help back up.... I just want to put on this thing even though I have nothing to do. Actually asked the hospital if they have any kids that are feeling down if I could come help cheer them up. My friend, an administrator, was all over it. So at least it gives me a good reason to suit up...
  15. I've seen troopers start with the smaller, easier parts first, makes sense. Are the triangles the hand guards maybe? Trapezoid shaped? Biceps are a good place to start as well, mentioned above. Take your time , have fun, ask questions. These fellas here are more than happy to help.
