Leave the mini plug on, strip the wires and solder the hovi's to the wires. Be sure to insulate the solder joints from each other. I used shrink tubing. Also be sure to isolate the back of the hovi speakers from the mic. I used some old film canisters to create a sealed chamber behind the hovi's. You will get better frequency response from the speakers and it will eliminate the feedback. See my earlier post in in this thread.

"Goof Off" or 3M adhesive remover. Better known as bestine rubber cement thinner. Good luck with the removal.

I trimmed the heck out of them. Mostly to taper them to fit my legs. I didn't trim anything off of the bottom just where the seams glue together. I glued the front and the back seams. The thighs were the toughest part of this kit.
