Is 3D scanning wrong?
TK8776 jgarrettg replied to GandalfTheImperial's topic in Recasting Discussion
Yeah, there's so much cleanup work that needs to be done that it's really only good for basic reference. By the time you clean it up (re-topolgize it) it's practically something else. -
Nice work Andy. I can't wait to see this finish out.

First Order Stormtrooper for 3D print

Interesting. Are you planning on printing it full size? If only we could borrow Tony Stark's 3D printer. -
ROGUE ONE TRAILER - IMPERIAL STORMTROOPERS!
TK8776 jgarrettg replied to Redforce's topic in Off Topic
These suits look like they were made to be rugged. Much more expansion areas built in. If I got blowed up in my Anovos kit I'd be laying next to the crater naked. See those TK's running? That scene would look so different in Anovos kits. Parts flinging off. Blood squirting out. Troopers limping and tripping. Gotta hand it to these guys. They made armor you can move in and it still looks damn good. Can't wait to see this movie. -
Sorry to hear that Alan. I hope things get back to normal for you soon. Take it easy.

How to repair cuts in armor?
TK8776 jgarrettg replied to SupRsloth's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
I've had good luck fixing these cuts with a small sealing iron. They are used for applying monocote covering on RC airplanes. You could probably use a regular sized iron if you are careful. The good thing about a cut like this is that all the plastic is still there. An iron and a little bit of pressure will heat the plastic and push it back in on itself. I'd practice on a piece of scrap first. Good luck. -

Mark, please report to reconditioning. We must not have any creative independent thinking. -
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing this Alan.

Would someone kindly assist with photobucket images?
TK8776 jgarrettg replied to humperdingle's topic in Forum Help & Support
Lol, we literally did that at the same time. Now if only photobucket would cooperate.
