E 11 power cylinder area... Help!
T-Jay replied to justjoseph63's topic in General Weapons Discussion
Hi Joseph, recently I made a tutorial to get more accuracy to the resin power cylinders (see last link in my signature). Maybe that helps a bit... -
This modification is not important, not required and not usefull - but it's so damn cooool Hey Aaron, happy to have you back posting updates again. Ian is right: a molded resin part would not look as precise as THAT thing!

My DoopyDoo's kit is 1160g / 2.56 lb (full resin build, real counter, many add-ons) Would be interesting to get the weight of a pipe build here...

Mutter’s Doopy Doos (and don’ts) E11 build
T-Jay replied to Mutter's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Regarding the loops in the spring: 11 loops visible when spring is installed and compressed. You might need more loops in total to get that. My spring has 14 loops, while 11 are visible through that slot from the charging handle. -

Here is a front view picture of my Hengstler 400 (with metal bracket). Maybe this helps you Ian... -
@ Joseph (justjoseph63): Hi there, as Ian already stated, these pictures were made during my build and I got these wires for sale. You can get them individually, or in a set with many other required parts (is more economical with the shipping costs). Just send a PM. @ Ian (Sith Lord): Thanks for forwarding and posting that link! That's really appreciated. @ Steve (gazmosis): Yes, he should give it a try. In my case this ended up with a 'bigger than expected' internet research and online order. But maybe Joseph has more luck in his area...

My TM Armour New ESB Pics
T-Jay replied to firebladejedi's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Checked the screen shots in the galleries and yeah, some biceps armors can be seen in that position - especially when the arm is hanging down straight. If the arm is angled (for example to hold a blaster) the forearm seems to push the biceps armor a bit upwards under the shoulder bell. Sorry for that confusion. Just had Simon's tutorial in mind for creating the biceps hooks... -

These cans of spray paint will get more expensive than the resin kit When you've finished it, you'll start thinking about a second build, because your spray cans are still about 50% full -
Are these boots too short?
T-Jay replied to TheArchdude's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Okay, not cheap but much better! Not just taller, but also the shape of the side elastic is much more accurate compared to the first link -
Looking much better now. The brow seems to have a little 'curve' on the picture above. That looks different on the other side. You can reduce this by cutting, filing or sanding a bit from the plastic under the trap. Ears could be trimmed to appear a bit thinner and with smaller gaps to the helmet.

A very nice build! The only thing I am wondering about is the position of the biceps armor. Maybe the biceps-hook could prevent these pieces from 'falling' out of the shoulder bells?!?! Just an idea. The rest is top notch! -
DVH Pipe Build with Extras

No Problem. By the way: that paper dabbing technique might also be an idea to get a texture again on the middle section of your scope (on the sanded green stuff). But it will be a real challange to get it looking as the texture in the front and rear ends... -

Correct Ian. That technique from Felice was shown in entry #64 of my build. To increase that effect I used some Hammerite paint with hammered finish. This paint was much thicker, which brought an even nicer texture onto the surface when it got paper-dabbed. See here. -

Hey Greg, this is a fun to read and it makes me smile how you went from 'just putting it together' to 'just one more mod. What can it hurt?' As you have meanwhile already been pointed on the replacement magazine from Steve ( ), you might also want to have a look at these nice resin counters from Dennis. And maybe you click the orange link in my signature below to possibly find something else for you... However, I am curious how this build will evolve! Looking forward to your next update. -

Wow! Was away a few days just to see, this thread has meanwhile exploded Very happy to finally see somebody using the counter conversion kit from Dennis (Blue Snaggletooth) . A really nice offer and I was also interested in this kit... Just one thing about your photos, Ian. Was a bit unsure, as nobody already wrote a comment about that, but I think the front (or rear half) is upside down on these two pictures. Hope you didn't alreay glue this -
@ Jason (Cantina Security): Thanks! Although I have only one aromr, it's the same for me @ Jason (Stormy320): Unfortunately the completion of that display is still far away, as no work has been started on the mannequin so far. Still unsure, if I should go for a real mannequin, or try the duct tape version...

Used this cheap way to protect it:

Well, usually threads end at this point, as the build is now complete. Because it was created for a display, there won't follow any trooping pictures in the future - except I get persuaded (there have been attempts already). So I thought you might like the idea of occasionally getting a (more or less) funny photo and I am starting with this tribute to a famous Pink Floyd album cover. Hope you like it.

BatNinja's AM 2.0 EIB ANH Stunt Build Thread

Congrats on receiving your boots. One step closer... Looks like the grey color has gone a bit too far (on tooth 4 and 5). It's hard to say, as most of your paintwork is in the shadow on that photo. Do you think you can remove this before it cures? -

Wow, the pattern on the sight guard looks very good! Haven't seen anything more accurate yet. Can't wait to see it painted... And that inner barrel is just too beautiful to hide inside. What a shame... Very nice progress! -
Hm, it looks like a DoopyDoo's pipe build. At least it has the two-pieced folding stock and the same shape at the magazine. But what about that pipe? Looks like resin, too. Eric, was it contained in the kit, or did you add it yourself?
