  1. That is a both affordable and good quality trooper boot....nice effort!...:-)
  2. Getting ready for a new build....whether I make it before I leave, is stil TBD.....hope so:-)
  3. Made a "rack" for my DLT-19..... And found the perfect spot for my EIB certificate as well...
  4. Attended my second troop, and had the pleasure of meeting Mr. B. Muir, and of course I had to have him sign my helmet....pretty nifty I'd say:-)
  5. Nice one:-)... Looking forward to the Boba:-)
  6. Is that per. Pair or per boot?.either way it seems like a good price for a nice pair of boots:-)
  7. Nope!..not by a long shot....too pointy, too many stichings on the upper.....
  8. Let me just clarify: I do NOT want to keep secrets.:-) Like I said in my previous post, I was under the impression (when I wrote the answer) that it was "bad manners" to openly state the name. I now stand corrected, twice.....and for the record I do believe that I share all my (limited) knowledge with anyone who asks.....
  9. I believe I answered this already in a previous post.......
  10. I do not know anything about his armours quality, but The one I bought ( a fully assembled TM and all soft parts except boots, undersuit and neckseal), was close to 2k$....so the price you have been given seems ok...but again I am not familiar with his armour....
  11. Sounds tempting....we will see.....not that much time left before I leave for an operational tour......
  12. Right you are Vern, but now the resin ones have been ordered and paid for, so that will have to suffice:-)
  13. Like Tim said...do not go down that road...they will not pass basic approval... Spend good money on good boots, you do a lot walking and standing around...that calls for quality shoes.....:-)... I will NEVER EVER be cheap when it comes to my footwear....you can find excellent Loakes, barely used on ebay if you do not want to spend 150 pounds on a new pair ( eventhough that would be my recommendation)...:-)
  14. Thank you so much Eric:-) glad you like it....I am pretty happy about the result as well...no need for envy I will offer painting services ( but shipping might be a tad steep in price)... If you want:-) The mg42 sight that I got turned out to be quite different than the mg34 sight, so I got in touch with Alfredo ( German Garrison), and he cast me a rear sight and a safetycatch, which will be in tha mail shortly....lets see how that pans out......
  15. Hey Clarkee They do not need two pullstraps, as the originals had only one... The boots you link to are not too bad, will for dure be accepted at basic level but I am not certain they will be accepted for Centurion.....I would personally try and find some Loakes ( or some of the others I have listed in a thread).....an RS armour derserves the best;-)
