  1. Thanks man:-).. Yeah we had a blast!.....:-)...
  2. Vielen Dank Daniel :-)..They do seem to get excited about those costumes....I have been pimping mine, and actually pondering if I should make one that is acceptable into the 501st. Glück ab, on your build!
  3. I can second that, and besides more than 10 inches away and you wòn`t notice those strokes
  4. Thanks a million...:-)...
  5. Yup "re-cast".. Know what I mean?, notch notch;-)
  6. You can borrow mine then:-)...
  7. Ha ha ha ha....yeah you are right:-)
  8. I still have it...found on Sunday when I cleared one of my drawers..and found the youtube link yesterday (looked for it and was lucky...)..
  9. I just lightly wiped mine with paint thinner to get the wax off, and then painted them, and they are holding up fine....so far....
  10. I primarily used a two component fast drying epoxy called : Epoxy Rapid 332" from Dana Lim http://www.danalim.com/product-catalogue/office-hobby/epoxy-rapid-332/ It is very durable once it is hardened. I tried prying the magazine well off, and using as much strength as I dared, it did not move an inch. I also used Loctite Flextec gel superglue for smaller things like the triggerguard and magazine " thingy"..
  11. I remember this part of the CD ROM " Star Wars: Behind the Magic" vividly....I still find it both sad and actually quite funny... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wcbkWgCy4Gg
  12. Three valid points:-). With regards to all the new members posting threads I agree. A lot of "one question" threads fill up. That being said I have no problem with (new) members posting threads on how they are building, modifying etc. this and that.....eventhough threads have been posted on that subject earlier.....:-)...
  13. Nice one!..looking forward to seeing your new boots...and good call that you bought yourself some new ones!....:-)
  14. you could just paint away as it is now, and then go over the sole with some black paint afterwards....I tried it and it Works..and actually you cannot see the white paint that are alll the way Down in the crevice between the sole and the boot leather anyway...
  15. I believe it is, and I am going for that as well. The reasons are legion (no pun intended), and some of them haev been mentioned. For me it is also about striving to "be my best", in everything I do. When I do stuff I normally always go "all in".... That is why I spent so much time on my blaster, boots etc.
  16. That is good news for you then...very nice....:-)...Good luck on the upcoming job:-)
  17. Agreed, but there are, even if they are a lot more expensive, better alternatives than the Bass Amsterdam.......:-)...
  18. Like I said.."as far as I know..."... So not promising anything....:-)..,but I think you are right.....I am pretty confident that basic approval is no problem at all.....
  19. Eagerly awaiting a shipment......

  20. Like I said, would be a pleassure helping you out advise etc.:-).. Yes it's very cool, and ofcourse I am rather excited. Both about getting it and the fit..but I am confident that the fit will be spot on when Paul says it will....:-).... Yes building building....I am sure it will be very rewarding when you are finished;-)....
