Look what my fantastic wife bought me today.... An airbrush!....woohoooo, next pair of boots her we go!...:-)......... Found in the local Lidl (a supermarket), their tool brand is actually quite good, and very reasonably priced...88 $ for this one, including three nozzles and 6 paints...

Do not buy CA boots, see my thread for alternatives...... If you want to go for EIB then Nomex flight gloves are a nogo... Good luck on you build!...:-)

Yes..I am really looking forward to getting it. Deployment is 6 months. I am sure that I will have leftover pads, so if you pay the postage I can send some to you (when I find out how well they fit, or even if they are needed...)

Yes David I "cheated" and ordered mine assembled. I simply do not have the time for an armour build at the moment. I just entered my pre-deployment training and I will be deploying to Africa in January. Sorry to disappoint you with no build thread...;-)..I will have threads on the the add-ons though, helmet fans, Icomm, padding etc.

I chose ANH stunt for aestethics, because I think that particular TK armour and helmet are the ones that looks best, and the ones that was put most effort into. IMO the following two movies had stormtroopers that were not put the same amount detail and effort into. So short: I think they look better. I chose stunt because i prefer the flat lenses to the bubble ones...

Yeah drybrushing is quite simple to do, if you start out right, which you apparently did:-)... "Talked" with TM this evening, and he expects it to be shipped at the end of next week...so I get before going to Stockholm for three weeks on a course.. Really really looking forward to getting it, and getting enlisted...:-)..

Looking good David!:-).. Yes quite matte, but I think you a right that trooping will wear some of it off....if not a semi matte or satin varnish might save you the trouble of a new weathering.:-)... I think it looks good:-), and I see that the drybrushing turned out good..:-) Nice job!...

Yup:-)....I think including shipping and materials 200$+...and the one I built took at least 25 hrs. To complete....

Hi Sorry but I cannot be of any assistance with the helmet ( or armour for that matter). The Doopydoos blaster on the other hand I know something about.:-) I think you should try and improve a little on it to make it more realistic looking. The D ring in the rear should not be missing, the front sight should be "Dremeled" out some more, the cocking handle should be raised as it sits too far into the "slit". You could insert a dummy spring and bolt and change the cast M6 Allen screws in the muzzle and bottom of the pistolgrip to real ones. The pistol grip should be glossy in appearance as it is made from bakelite and the bolt should be steel coloured. Feel free to ask, or take a look at my thread on my own build....:-)

Hi TimYes all accessories completed, undersuit, neckseal, boots, Icomm, blaster ready, helmet fan-kit still to be received though:-). I expect my armour to arrive ( fully assembled) before Setember 20th, including gloves, handguards, and canvas belt.... I am working on a couple of additional improvements on my blaster, and it remains to be seen if changing the helmet padding is necessary, if it is, then I am prepared...:-)...

Finally! The new bottle of Angelus paint arrived yesterday, and that enabled me to finally finish the boots I had to redo.... So here they are, ready to troop.. Still have two other pairs, but I will not start painting them.....yet:-)
