  1. Sweet. Might pick up the parts for a Sandtrooper backpack. Lots of good deals here.
  2. I'm looking to add the rubber trim to the few pieces of ANH armor I have that need it, rather than try to find ROTJ armor parts. Just don't know where to look or who to ask. Thanks in advance for your help!
  3. I'm going out Black Friday shopping tonight and will be picking this up for Xbox One. I'll be able to capture some hi-res screens. The trickiest part about it will actually be getting the opportunity to spawn as the Shock Trooper, as that's only possible as long as a teammate is on the field playing as Palpatine. I know for sure that in some game play footage I've seen, the trooper is NOT wearing a pack. Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk
  4. Has anyone been able to get some screen grabs? I've only been able to find front shots on the net. I want to paint up my second set of armor parts like this. Curious that this trooper is missing the drop boxes and knee plate... is that the way it is in game?
  5. Tried it today but kept getting disconnected less than five minutes into my games. Went back to Destiny.
  6. Sure, their costumes weren't top notch, but I can appreciate anyone who can help spread the infection. I'll share our dance clip if someone asks c:
  7. Found it! These masks look great, and are a LOT cheaper than what I was expecting. Might just pick one of these up. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the rest of your project
  8. Where did you get your zombie flesh? Everything looks awesome, btw.
  9. I know I've said this about your kit a million times already, but damn, that is too good. Would you by any chance be planning on bringing this to Granitecon this September?
  10. Ayyy. Congrats on the new kit. Will be watching your progress. The whole raw kit certainly is intimidating to take in all at once. Looks like you're going about it the right way so far
  11. It all depends on how your garrison receives Death Troopers. I'm lucky enough to be in one that actually wants to see them. Of course, I plan to take advantage of that. My advice to you: take your RS suit, butcher it and make it bloody. Show it off wherever you think you can get away with it. I don't plan to be afraid of offending people with my own, but I don't know how well one would be received wherever you are. Probably would be wise to check with command ahead of time. The Death Trooper is a costume that I believe allows you to exercise the greatest amount of creativity, as opposed to something like Boba Fett, where you have to adhere strictly to visual references and get all the details just right. And hey, doing it this way will let you keep your TK designation. Don't leave us for the sandies!
  12. I smell another Death Trooper shuffling in.

Well I've never heard of them, but they're probably on that list for a good reason. I'm sure there's a vendor you can get in touch with that'll hook you up with quality gear. Yup, that site will probably be your best bet. Good luck!

Do you have a link to it? And if you're looking to do a Shadow Guard, you might get better help by asking the folks at the Sovereign Protectors detachment at forcepike.net.
  15. *phew* Glad to know that worked out. Sorry you had to deal with such a headache-inducing ordeal.
  16. After revisiting the weathering on a recommendation, I think I can finally call it done. And I got some mail today. Can't wait to tear into these!
  17. The best one yet. Definitely going to be referring to this thread a few times for my DT suits.
  18. I'm considering my helmet pretty much done. I might go back and work with the blood a little more, as suggested.
  19. Improved weathering and blood. Applied some hot glue to the bloody spots and went over it in a mix of black and red.
  20. Quick progress shot of the new helmet: The frown will only remain black until I get the correct grey paint. The sharpie marks represent where I plan to use the dremel cutting wheel. The blood was done with Testors gloss red enamel. Planning to make that look fairly more realistic. Gotta give the rest of the helmet a dirty wash of yellows, browns, and greens.
  21. My own Death Trooper is essentially done -- the only thing left to do is to get someone to take pictures of my suit for my application. I recently decided I wanted to hook up one of my local friends with his own DT to accompany me on the adventures I'm about to have. Because I'm a dirt poor college kid with an insatiable hankering to continue pursuing this expensive hobby, I'm currently taking broken/unwanted parts from people until I have enough to make an entire costume, as opposed to buying a whole new kit. Goodbye, shiny red helmet. Some FX thermal detonator parts being shipped out: And a few more parts being shipped after C7: This one will be more of an original design. Wish me luck in gathering the pieces I need and getting my friend suited up. This build ought to go a lot smoother than my first. EDIT: You guys are awesome. So far I've been offered a thermal detonator, chest plate, shoulder bells, sniper knee plate, bicep, and thighs -- for next to no cost. The generosity of FISD and Spec Ops has been putting a big goofy smile on this face lately. Rest assured your generosity will help me get this friend of mine into the Legion in due time.
  22. Most people here are gonna recommend snaps and elastic because of how convenient they are. I can't speak from experience about the brackets, but I heard somewhere that the return edges you set them up on may eventually be prone to cracking over time. I'd go with snaps, unless you're shooting for total screen accuracy. If you ask me, as long as everything looks good on the outside, and you're comfortable, that's all that matters. I use a combination of velcro and snaps and things have been holding well enough.
  23. Sick. That's a healthy amount of gore you got going on there, and it's awesome. Congrats on the approval!
  24. Excellent -- please do. I drooled over your suit when I saw it in person a couple years ago, and I still consider it to be one of the best DTs around. A zombie fireteam! Let's make that happen! I see myself doing a lot with you guys this summer compared to the past couple years. I desperately want to gather more broken/B-pull parts from people and make suits for my local friends, but none of them like Star Wars #firstworldproblems -- Mods and pictures are coming soon folks. I'm busy this week, but I've still got my plan of action swirling around in my head.
