Jonathan, If I had the energy and time ....I would do a part to part comparison because I am curious myself....but I don't have the time for that.......forget about putting it to bed ....... because of the reputation of NE being a recast, the armor makers of NE have stop making it and have started producing AM armor again....... which is ridiculous...don't get me started. I'm glad I was able to get my hands on a couple of NE kits before they stop producing them...... They look very similar ....I am no expert. It could be recast I guess...... but the makers of NE claimed it wasn't recast ....and then a bunch of people went nuts and insisted it was.......and now we have a less accurate armor being offered .....

Yes... toybiz is correct about the cod male snaps.....you will also need the snap tool, hammer method for the ab plate snaps that will be used to snap your belt onto your ab plate....

GO DRITZ I have and used these on all of my suits http://www.amazon.com/Dritz-Heavy-Duty-Fastener-Plier/dp/B005BB5GYS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398615217&sr=8-1&keywords=dritz+snap+pliers with these snaps http://trooperbay.com/8-heavy-duty-snaps-with-tool/ The "snap tool" comes with the snap packs.....you would have to use a hammer.... It's a lot easier with the dritz snap pliers (1st link I above that I posted in this post) if you have an extra couple of bucks

Ron, I will send you a size of my straps on my armor when I get home later. Depending on what elastic you got.....there are stitch lines that can be counted to determine where to cut for size. The elastic stretches.....so the straps should all be small in length.....
