  1. You guys get a room. Anyway, I was looking at my last photo again with the 1138 fix here in the thread. I shot that in a dash on the way out the door to work today. Looking at it again, it looks dark. I will post up a photo with proper lighting when I get home. It might be fine as is, but I'm more than happy to offer up whatever is required and thank you!
  2. I have about 6 bottles of gray as well if I need to change those out. It will only take me 10 minutes. Just let me know and thanks!
  3. OK! So I checked the blue buttons and they do appear a bit dark. I have a number of blue paints and am touching up often. I think I was more concerned with other details and wasn't paying attention to this! I grabbed a french blue and just applied. Let me know if this helps out:
  4. Understood and thank you! I shot some in the sunlight and then under brighter indoor lighting, but neither were very clear and they do appear a bit dark. I was trying to avoid using a flash. I'll shoot more as soon as I get home.
  5. I've seen two fellow TK mates suffer cracked shoulder straps. Both AP. One TK repaired, one TK replaced. It does appear to happen.
  6. Mandatory Information • Armor = AP • Helmet= AP • Blaster= Hyperfirm Optional • Height = 5'11" • Weight = 195 lb • Boots = TK Boots • Canvas belt = TrooperBay • Hand Plates = TrooperBay • Electronics= Aker • Neck Seal = Ebay (unknown) • Holster = AP (Fan System: Echo Works!) I first trooped in this AP suit in March 2013, and it has already been in a number of troops ranging from commercial shoots, bowling, merry go rounds, and more. I'm finally submitting for EIB status, but will probably tweak further before going for Centurion. Thank you for your consideration.
  7. AP here and also wonky the first go round. Had to rip apart and redo. Business as usual.
  8. I always love reading the Ebay descriptions... "The boots which came with the suit were a little too heavy, to be fair I wore my golf shoes which looked fine."
  9. I used industrial velcro with a single fan without issue for a time. Maybe try a heavier duty velcro? Is it maybe a heavier or larger fan that you're using? I'm using the Echo fan system now in my AP and it is simply amazing. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24372-fs-helmet-fan-system-echos/?hl=%20echo%20%20fan
  10. Great work guys!
  11. Congrats! You will get used to it more for sure. Might need to trim up some bits to help with armor bites. RS is great stuff. Wear it proudly!
  12. I heat bent my straps before the actual gluing to the front. I worked up what looked right with the straps taped on and made sure everything looked right and then glued and clamped. If you can get another trooper to help you eyeball the placement (armor party!!!!) then would definitely make the decision easier too.
  13. I just saw this as well. Would love to know if they'll pass for Centurion. I need to replace my CA boots...
  14. I love my Hyperfim. There should be posts for them in the For Sale area.
  15. My favorite part: This kit takes 6 to 8 hours to assemble, depending on your experience :laugh1: Boo on Ebay...
  16. If it means Bender can submit for Centurion and he's approved in 10 minutes, then I'm sure he won't mind the back and forth. Looking good Doc!
  17. I am AP and 5'11".. I second the vote of RT or NE. I know a couple 6'3-6'4" guys with RT that look great. I have only seen NE mid build but certain pieces to look larger and more accommodating. All the best on your build.
  18. Look at that big bunch of sexy! Congrats man!!!!!
  19. I call the TK the gateway drug anyway. Most everyone wants that first, then they start trooping, then they experience more and branch out to other suits... I would definitely weigh your favorite scenes from SW and ask yourself whether TK's or TD's were involved. You'll be living those scenes and lines quite a bit once you are wearing the suit! I think TK is the safe way to go since you can always dirty it up and add the TD bits later (I feel like I've seen more people evolve that way with the two suits as well)... Besides style and build aspects, also consider troop aspects. Carrying the extra TD gear, seeing events in your area where certain characters are requested over others, etc. Again we're here for charity's sake, but your costuming mileage can vary greatly depending on what suit(s) you get out there in. The one thing I DO like about TD's is the BFG. I rarely leave home without my DLT-19 and can get away with it thanks to a few quick moments from ANH.
  20. Wooo! My laundry shot made it to the newsletter! :-D I'm in love with those UK mini troopers!
  21. Nice work Leonard. I've been talking shop with Brenton. He's very eager and very excited to get rolling. Let us know how it goes.
